Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to RaeAnna Jones. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
RaeAnna, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
The name Buzz & Bloom actually comes from two nicknames that mean a lot to me. One of my best friends has always called me “Honey Bee,” which inspired the “Buzz”, all about creating excitement and helping businesses get noticed. Another one of my best friends calls me “Sunflower,” which inspired the “Bloom” aspect, representing growth, resilience, and thriving in your own season. When I combined the two, it felt like the perfect reflection of both who I am and what I want my business to stand for: helping small businesses bloom boldly while building their buzz.

RaeAnna, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is RaeAnna Jones, and most of my friends just call me Rae. I’m the Founder & Creative Director of Buzz & Bloom Co., a digital media and branding studio based in Las Vegas. I’m a disabled Army veteran, a mom, and someone who has always been drawn to storytelling and helping others shine. My journey into digital marketing wasn’t a straight line. I actually started in the medical field as a medical assistant after I completed my time in the Army, and I later moved into office management and logistics. But during the pandemic, I found myself diving into social media and digital marketing, first through network marketing and then through formal training. I quickly realized my passion was helping small businesses, the “underdogs”, stand out online and grow with confidence.
Buzz & Bloom Co. offers services like social media audits, content calendars, branding and logo creation, SEO blog writing, and digital storytelling. I don’t believe in cookie-cutter strategies; instead, I build personalized plans that fit the business owner, their goals, and their audience. The problems I solve for my clients usually come down to overwhelm, lack of direction, or feeling invisible online. I help them organize their ideas, clarify their voice, and create consistent, engaging content that attracts the right audience.
What sets me apart is that I bring both strategy and heart. My background as a veteran taught me discipline, teamwork, and resilience, while my personal journey through grief, PTSD, ADHD, and healing has given me deep empathy and understanding. I know firsthand how much courage it takes to start something from scratch, so I approach every client with encouragement, creativity, and a tailored approach.
I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built through this work. I’ve had the honor of collaborating with local entrepreneurs, from tattoo artists to coffee shops to makers and crafters, and watching their businesses grow has been incredibly rewarding. At the end of the day, I want people to know that Buzz & Bloom Co. isn’t just about marketing, it’s about helping small businesses bloom boldly, build their buzz, and feel celebrated in the process.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I actually started building my audience in the world of network marketing. While I’ve since stepped away from MLMs because I don’t personally align with the values or the often-misleading claims of that business model, it was my entry point into social media and it taught me a lot about consistency, content creation, and community-building.
Looking back, I think the reason I didn’t thrive in that space the way others did is actually what sets me apart now, my transparency. I genuinely care about people and the connections I make. To me, followers were never just sales or numbers; they were real humans with stories, dreams, and struggles. That authenticity, paired with my natural ability to be someone’s biggest cheerleader, is what allowed me to start building a loyal audience that trusted me beyond a single transaction.
My advice for anyone just starting to build their social media presence is this: focus less on chasing numbers and more on building relationships. Be consistent, yes, but also be real. Share your story, show up as yourself, and let your audience see not just the polished version, but the journey behind it. Support others, celebrate their wins, and give value without expecting something in return. People can spot fake energy a mile away but they’ll remember someone who showed up authentically and made them feel seen.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One of the most defining moments of my journey was losing my dad. His passing left me completely stunned, and for a long time I carried so much sadness and grief. We all heal differently, and for me, it took time to even begin processing what life without him would look like.
One night during a spiritual healing exercise, I had a realization that changed everything: my dad has never really left me. He’s always with me, cheering me on from the stars above. That moment helped me shift my perspective , so instead of letting grief hold me back, I began to focus on living in a way that would not only make him proud but make myself proud too.
That experience taught me resilience on a deeper level. It reminded me that even in the darkest seasons, we can find strength, and we can choose to thrive. It also shaped how I run Buzz & Bloom Co. with heart, empathy, and the reminder that people all have a story to share. I lead my business with the same values my dad instilled in me: hard work, integrity, and showing up fully. His memory continues to fuel me, not just in life but also in business, because I know he would want me to keep building, keep blooming, and help others do the same.
