Rae, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Parents can play a significant role in affecting how our lives and careers turn out – and so we think it’s important to look back and have conversations about what our parents did that affected us positive (or negatively) so that we can learn from the billions of experiences in each generation. What’s something you feel your parents did right that impacted you positively.

My parents instilled in me the value of hard work, perseverance, and earning everything I have. They made it clear that nothing in life would be handed to me—if I wanted something, I had to work for it. That mindset has shaped my approach to both life and my career.

That lesson stuck with me. In my career, whether it’s building a business, creating opportunities for clients, or growing my own brand, I’ve never expected success to just happen. I’ve put in the work, stayed persistent, and found ways to earn every win.

That mindset has helped me push through challenges, stay motivated, and appreciate every achievement even more because I know the effort it took to get there.

I’m Rae, the founder of Rae and Creative Design. I started Rae and Creative Design after leaving a corporate job that was draining the life out of me. I knew I wanted more—a career that felt fulfilling, creative, and impactful. I wanted to use my skills to help businesses like mine—small but mighty—gain access to marketing strategies that wouldn’t break the bank.

What I Do & How I Help:

At Rae and Creative Design, I specialize in:
-Social Media Management – More than just posting, I create strategies that build connections, drive engagement, and help brands stay consistent.
-Website Design – If it’s a refresh or a full build, I create websites that reflect your brand and attract your ideal audience.
-Branding & Print Design – From logos to brochures, I help businesses craft a cohesive and professional brand identity.

What I’m Most Proud Of:

Building Rae and Creative Design from the ground up has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I’ve been able to help so many small businesses grow, gain confidence in their marketing, and finally see results from their efforts. Watching my clients succeed—launching a new brand, growing their social media, or transforming their website—makes everything worth it.

What I Want Potential Clients to Know:

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

The best source of new clients for me has undoubtedly been word of mouth. There’s nothing more powerful than a happy client sharing their experience and recommending my services. I focus on building strong, long-term relationships with my clients, and because they see real value in the work I do, they naturally refer me to others.

I’ve found that small business owners trust referrals from people they know. They want someone reliable, strategic, and invested in their success—so when a past client shares how Rae and Creative Design helped them grow their brand, it carries more weight than any ad ever could.

Have you ever had to pivot?

One of the biggest pivots in my life was leaving my corporate job to start Rae and Creative Design. I had spent years in a career that, while stable, was draining me. I found myself dreading each day, knowing I wasn’t doing work that truly fulfilled me. I wanted more creativity, more freedom, and more impact—but taking the leap into entrepreneurship was terrifying.

I knew I had the skills, but the question was: Could I build something of my own?

I took the risk and started Rae and Creative Design with a clear mission—to help small businesses, like mine, gain access to marketing solutions that wouldn’t break the bank and make an impact on their online presence. I wanted to give business owners the tools to grow without feeling overwhelmed by social media, branding, or website design.

That pivot wasn’t easy. I went from a structured corporate role to wearing every hat in my business—marketer, designer, strategist, and CEO. But it was the best decision I ever made. Now, I get to work with incredible small business owners, create strategies that actually make a difference, and build long-term relationships with clients who trust me to bring their brand to life.

This pivot taught me that sometimes, stepping into the unknown is the only way to find real fulfillment. And for that, I’ll always be grateful.
