We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Radical Love Movement a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Radical Love Movement thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
Like many other people globally, the pandemic was a catalyst into our next business phase. We began as a dance company whose focus was on self-awareness and authentic expression. Using our own personal experience and growth as the material for our shows, we worked to give a brief glimpse into identity and belief, and what it feels like to be embodied in our truth and potential. Our goal has always been to connect individuals more authentically with themselves, and up until this point, it had been through immersive audience experiences. Not being able to perform, we began to reimagine what it is that we have to offer to our community. We created a live stream show that viewers could watch at home, and we simultaneously projected it onto the wall outside of the building where we were performing, providing an outdoor movie type experience. We then made a movie of our creative process called, “Embodyment”, a stunning piece produced by Mnemocine Pictures that gave a glimpse into our creative imagination and intuition space that we go to internally to create and perform from. It ran in the independent film circuit and won a few awards. This movie was the beginning of exploring how we could give every person, whether they were artists or not, the experience of becoming the primary creative forces of their lives.
We began developing a coaching/training program for when the world began to slowly open back up. We started with a workshop series around the body and intuition, pleasure, and will. And began coaching small businesses in understanding their limiting beliefs and utilizing their intuition to grow their business, and we began coaching clients one-on-one.
What was learned from this time period was that creativity shouldn’t be limited to one area of your life. When you start treating your life as one big creation of your making (more like your choosing), you realize you have more control in how you live, you can get clear on what it is you truly want, and you can begin to shift out of your perception and into living an intuitively led life that you love.
Radical Love Movement, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Radical Love Movement is an Embodiment Education and Intuition Coaching Company that serves the awakening of embodied spirit, through a direct understanding of the body; both in form + function, and the limiting beliefs that inform the perception of our experiences. We utilize movement and embodiment tools to come to presence, regulate the nervous system, and embody greatness, and we also use imagination and visualization tools to support understanding one’s own intuition and vision for what they are creating. In addition, we have reflective tools to understand client’s limiting beliefs that may be contributing to their inability to pursue or connect to what it is they truly want. We know that awareness of what is holding you back gives you more choice, and we hold space for that awareness, and then empower you in choosing.
We have supported countless individuals in living a more present and fulfilled life in virtual or in person one-on-one coaching with one of 3 of our very gifted coaches, we support creatives and artists to take ownership of their creative expression and bring their projects and ideas to fruition to be shared with the world, and we have helped entrepreneurs and business owners operate their businesses from a place of intuition and awareness to utilize their employees gifts and talents and to create the business they have always dreamed of, without compromise. We teach movement focused classes, we hold workshops, and we are constantly aiming to share with our community with free educational opportunities. We even sometimes also still dance and perform:)
Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
Ironically, while you can obtain all of the knowledge, training, and education, what we see time and time again with clients and having had applied our method to ourselves for the past 5 years is that the secret to success is actually letting go of the need to know. Let me elaborate. We spend our entire lives trying to “figure it all out”; the best method, the person who knows the most, the expert in the field, planning, worrying, and preparing for the future. When really, when you let go of needing to now how it will turn out, you open yourself up to endless possibility instead of being woefully tied to limited options, “this or that”. This is a practice in presence. The basis of our work with people is the orientation shift out of how you perceive it to be (based on old beliefs and patterns that kept you safe), and into your intuition (your creative ability, natural gifts and talents, and what you truly love). How we go about doing this is by not needing to know. We use many embodiment and visualization tools to support this idea of not needing to know, and then approach a problem or perceived obstacle from a different, higher perspective. This provides our clients, who maybe initially saw only one or two options, to begin to think expansively and creatively, opening themselves up to many possibilities that maybe weren’t there before. They then become creative thinkers, led not by their “knowledge”, but instead by their “knowing”. They begin to trust that knowing and the results are truly incredible and transformative!
We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
There are three of us who are behind RLM. Phannie Krentzman is the founder, Les Martin is the business genius, and Rachel Brady is the company liaison. All three of us have been dancers and performers, and a part of RLM’s transition from the beginning. Phannie asked Les and Rachel to join the team as dancers/collaborators, and then began teaching and training them in energy work, intuition methods, and coaching others (something she had been doing for some time before shifting the dance company into the education/coaching space). Les has been a dance teacher, manager of a vet clinic, and dancer for many years, and so it was a seamless transition for her into her coaching role. She now supports countless individuals in one-on-one coaching. Rachel was a teacher, and had also been practicing Thai bodywork for many years when she joined RLM as a dancer. She now provides hands on healing bodywork and energy work to support her coaching client’s integration. It’s been amazing to see the evolution from dancers into now having a comprehensive intuition training program!
