We recently connected with Racquel Frisella and have shared our conversation below.
Racquel, appreciate you joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
In 2021, after 13 years in the aesthetic industry, I launched my own practice Racquel Aesthetics in Chesterfield as well as hand selected and hired 16 of the most amazing women to build the practice with.
In addition, I launched my skincare brand RFA Medical Grade Skincare, which is sold in the practice and online, allowing me to help men and women all over the world.
We just celebrated our 2nd anniversary of Racquel Aesthetics and RFA Skincare! I am so proud of everything we have created and our growth as two companies. But more importantly, I am so thankful for all my incredible patients and customers that trust us day in and day out to be apart of their lives. We are not only transforming skin but lives too!
2021 was a very transformational year in my life and the years following have continued to be nothing but amazing and transformational. I took a lot of scary leap in my professional life. I left a very wonderful, comfortable career and lifestyle to chase my dreams. I got very uncomfortable in hopes of building my dream life. Looking back, I can say that every ounce of sacrifice and hardship was 100% worth it. Without change we cannot grow, and I have grown in so many ways these past couple years.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Racquel Frisella is an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Racquel Aesthetics and RFA Medical Grade Skincare.
With over 15 years of experience in aesthetics, she has dedicated herself to helping people feel amazing and confident in their own skin. This mission has been the driving force behind her work from the very beginning.
Racquel’s ever-evolving knowledge of the latest beauty innovations, combined with her personable demeanour and eagerness to help others reach their beauty goals and personal potential, make her the go-to girl for patients all over the country.
As a national trainer for Galderma, Allergan & The RA Way, her training academy, Racquel has had the privilege of sharing her knowledge and expertise with others in the industry.
Her philosophy stems from her belief in the ‘look good, feel good’ mentality. When people feel their best, they can project the best version of themselves into every facet of their lives, making them a better partner, parent, co-worker, and friend.

Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?
100% without a doubt I would choose the same profession as a Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner! There is not a day that goes by that I feel so incredibly honored to help men and women feel confident in their own skin!

Recently, I did a full facial balancing case on a beautiful woman who has recently been on a huge weight loss journey and had just been through a lot. We did Co2 laser with Denise, full facial balancing, and an awesome skincare plan. Her before and after pictures are just incredible. Her complexion was just glowing, her volume was restored, and she looked rested and refreshed. When I handed her the mirror she teared up and told me this was the first time in years she felt like herself again and this has really jump started a new confidence and chapter of her life. Then I teared up, too! It really is so special to be a part of that process and to share that moment together. Life is so short and everyone deserves to step out into the world and feel beautiful!!
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
No matter the situation, do the right thing, be honest and always go the extra mile for your patients and customers. Yes, talent, knowledge, training, expertise and results play a big role in the aesthetic industry, but being a professional, warm-hearted good person makes all the difference too. I always pour 100% of myself into each patient that is in my chair and I strive to connect with them, build a relationships with them and always treat them like family!!
Hard work and stepping out of your comfort zone has also played an influential part into building my brand and reputation. It doesn’t just happen, it takes years, persistence, personal development and commitment. Having high standards, morals and never settling for mediocrity.
