Rackesh & Brithany , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?

Jerk Tavern all started after the pandemic of 2020. Brithany lost her job and we started to take food blogging more seriously. we started to record every single thing that we cooked. We learned the ins and outs of food blogging, google SEO, ad revenues, and how to kick-start our business. We have not stopped doing this since that time, because we saw how in the blink of an eye, you can get fired or replaced at your usual 9-5 job. so we decided to start our own business, fully trusting in God all the way through, and before we knew it, we started to see the fruits of our labor and how hard work and dedication, with faith and consistency is the formula you need to succeed.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Jerk Tavern is a food blog specializing in Jamaican and Caribbean cuisine. We take dishes from other cultures and incorporate Jamaican and Caribbean flavors to them, essentially we add a twist to them. It’s what we believe sets us apart from other food bloggers. We have both always been cooking from our youth and we thought about other forms of content, but food blogging came to us from God, He inspired us to do a blog because at the time there were not many food bloggers creating content in Jamaican cuisines, so we knew there was space for us to thrive and he showed us the way. on our website, we provide step-by-step recipes that will leave a lasting impression on your palate. We always get great feedback from visitors on our site about how much they love our recipes how easy our recipes are to follow and how great they come out every time. we are most proud of how consistent we have been from the start of our food blogging journey, the competition we have won, and the recipes we have created like our oxtail sushi roll, getting over 1 million views on Instagram. Just showing that once you have faith and believe, anything is possible.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

The goal driving our çreative journey is to make Jerk Tavern our primary source of income And to continue to do what we love: cooking and creating delicious recipes.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

When we first started on this journey we thought we would start to see an income right away, but that was not the case. Even when it was a year and a half in we still saw no income but we kept going. We kept our faith and never gave up. With long. days and sleepless nights we kept on being resilient.
