We recently connected with Rachel Sudduth and have shared our conversation below.
Rachel, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
In 2021, I took the biggest leap of faith and risk of them all! I quit my job to focus on my creative adventures as a Spiritual Life Coach and Tarot Reader. I had a few bucks saved and I used it to invest in some tarot cards, some candles and some bracelets! I was amazed but the outflow of support from everyone. Friends, families and people I hadn’t spoke to since highschool were purchasing bracelets and booking tarot readings. I started off doing donated based readings because I love to help others and wanted to perfect my craft. I was so surprised when I made my first $30 from a crystal bracelet I made spontaneously. My idea to start my business really came on during the pandemic and I was so bored in the house. I wanted to create something as a spiritual protection for myself as I dove into tarot readings. After my mom passed in 2019, I kept having more vivid dreams and downloads that I should help people with my cards. I’ve always been highly sensitive and spiritually in tune but I stepped more into my gift during this time. The isolation most people had through the height COVID-19 I feel like really gave me time to think and evaluate what I wanted to do with my life. I went to school for Broadcast Journalism/Public Relations and I soon realized I excelled at this but it was far from my passion. I had to water myself down and couldn’t really step into my authentic self. When I left I haven’t looked back as far as working in news again but I have started working as a makeup artist and expanding my creative talents. After having my son in late August 2022, I realized even more thar showing up as my authentic self even in rooms that may not understand my craft will give my son the inspiration to be himself when he grows up as well!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
For folks who aren’t aware, my name is Rachel Sudduth and I go by Luve Aura. I specialize in love tarot readings. And medium readings. I’ve helped a lot of people step away from relationships with family, friends and careers that no longer served them! I’ve also brought by lovers that were ready to throw in the towel. I usually mediate in the mornings, pray to my ancestors and God to deliver the messages to help my clients and customers before I start my day. I always say a peaceful prayer to protect my home and family before I do my readings. I also connect with people’s love ones through hour-long sessions. I’ve done readings where a client’s father had passed the year before and I kept seeing dates around me that I shared with my client. My client began crying and said that was the day her dad passed and the anniversary was coming up. I tap into my messages by asking spirit and take my own opinion out of any reading I have. I pray to give an unbiased readings and send messages to my clients based on what I see in the tarot cards and the overall aura. I love what I do and it feels great to know I’ve helped so many people just in the past year that I have been using Tarot.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn was taking in people’s negative comments and perspectives as my own. I’ve learned that there are so many adults stuck in their traumas as children. Most people are speaking from their own experiences and traumas that may be one-sided and is not a one size fits all. With me being a tarot reader and growing up Christian, I faced a lot of back lash from old friends and some family that did not understand what I was doing. I had people gossiping about me, wondering if I had lost my mind. The funny thing is something you have to lose the old you to restore the childhood you. I’ve never been happier and if I had listened to people say they didn’t believe in my craft, I would still be stuck and miserable. One thing I learned is people will talk about you, so do what you love!!

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I’ve built a growing audience for myself on social media by consistently posting and adding valuable content to my pages. Also a huge factor for me is appearances. I decided to dye my hair bright red to be rememberable when I first came out that I was offering tarot readers. The biggest step I am still learning in branding and also focusing on what problem you are trying to solve.
I also have built an audience sharing my transparency as a mom dealing with postpartum and my journey through pregnancy.
