We were lucky to catch up with Rachel Mains recently and have shared our conversation below.
Rachel , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Alright, let’s jump into one of the most exciting parts of starting a new venture – how did you get your first client who was not a friend or family?
My first client was a friend. I was talking to her about starting my own business because I was not happy in my corporate job. She said that I should take the leap and she said she would be my first client. She owned a PR Firm.

Rachel , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My business is E3 Communications Assistance. I help entrepreneurs, public figures and nonprofits establish a brand and consistent communications systems. E3 can come in at any stage of their business, from start up to already established, to assist them in weaving all their online platforms to synchronize together. From their website, logo design, to blogs, newsletters, social media, products, events, sales funnels, etc., E3 can help them to establish a system that molds all their communications elements to be a a functioning, working system.
What sets E3 Communications Assistance a part is the ability to be an avenue for clients to get all their communications needs met in one place. In addition, E3 helps clients to come up with a manageable system that works for any budget.
In addition to operating E3 Communications Assistance, I host and produce a radio show called Corner Cafe. Corner Cafe is a radio show (we’ve also done a TV pilot). We invite artists, entertainers and nonprofits on the show to talk about their gifts and their faith.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
With my business E3 Communications Assistance and my radio show Corner Cafe, I can say that the overall goal and mission is to celebrate the gifts of others and promote them. I truly enjoy lifting up my clients, and my radio guests, by helping them with setting up their communications systems, or interviewing them on radio, all with the goal of allowing them to share their message. I enjoy to see them shine!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
My radio show has been on air for since 2008. I started it when I went to work at Crawford Broadcasting. About three years into my job, I decided to go be a missionary in Argentina. I lived in worked at an orphanage for a little under a year. When I came back to the States, I got my radio show back (I had trained other people to take it over). About five years ago, I got a co host Jamie Daniel. It’s be very neat to see the radio show grow since it’s beginnings, and through my life journey. It would have been easy to let it go over the years, as I was growing my business and my life transitions. However, it’s a passion and its long-standing is proof of its resilience. I believe God wants me to do this show and is the reason for its success.
