Alright, Rachel thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard

Currently, we are the first luxury resale brand that allows their sellers to pick the charity they want to donate to. Many luxury resale brands might give a percentage to a charity or a few charities that they support. Style and Give solely lets the individual select any official 501c3 non-profit. This has expanded in charity partnerships that allows the charity to promote their items and have a special donation area for just their cause. This benefits the big and small charities since they do not need to have their team manage a fundraiser. We do all the work. Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Style and Give is the first luxury resale marketplace dedicated to supporting our sellers’ charities and providing a luxury consignment shopping experience. Shoppers can view the charity supported on each item and the amount that will impact the charity. At a minimum, 5% of the purchase price will go to the charity and potentially 100% of the seller’s commissions. A few online resale sites might support a charity, or a few with a limited event or a small percentage of profit margin. That is if they have a profit that year. The thrift shop industry is also specific to one charity, typically in brick-and-mortar locations. We are the first luxury resale marketplace allowing sellers to choose their charity.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

In the luxury online resale marketplace authenticity of luxury items is the key to building your reputation. Style and Give was created to provide a safe place to purchase authentic luxury items while helping the sustainability of our planet, all while supporting amazing charities. With the estimated 96 billion second-hand global apparel market expected to double in size by 2025, we wanted to provide a simple solution to sell and donate preloved luxury clothing. Our sellers appreciate a way to help the causes that they are passionate about and share in the commission, all while knowing they will get the most value from the items donated. If you guarantee authenticity, then customers feel trust. Building trust and keeping it along with our competitive commission structure, affiliate marketing program, and charity partnerships are key to what has helped us build our reputation. We also cover fashion trends and hot topics with our Blogs and weekly Style and Give Podcast. Ultimately, we are here to Style and Give; at least 5% of every sale goes to the seller’s charity of choice, and the seller can donate 0 to 100% of their commission. We are passionate about being conscious consumers with authentic luxury items and giving hearts to help individuals make more for their items while giving back to charities that greatly need our support. When you are authentic on every level, your reputation speaks for itself.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?

When starting up Style and Give, we spent months setting up a luxury resale online marketplace, but we needed clarification on what resources were out there. We had no idea that a community platform existed to help luxury resellers succeed in a booming resale industry, where the market is estimated to continue to grow into the billions… until we came across Marque Mentor and recently joined From Beginner to Boss.
