Showing appreciation to clients is fundamental to the way I build relationships. I make sure that every interaction with my clients reflects my genuine gratitude for their trust and partnership. One of the ways I show this is by actively listening and understanding their unique needs and goals, then delivering personalized solutions that go above and beyond their expectations.
Additionally, I believe that consistent, thoughtful communication is key. Whether it’s sending a personalized thank-you note after a successful transaction or offering regular updates throughout the process, I make it a priority to ensure they feel valued at every step. I also like to follow up even after the deal is closed, checking in to see how they’re settling in or if there’s anything else I can do to help.
It’s the small, thoughtful gestures—like remembering birthdays or milestones—that can make a big difference. Ultimately, I strive to build long-term relationships by making clients feel appreciated and cared for, not just during the transaction but long after.

Thank you for this opportunity! I’m Rachel Jewell, a proud mother of three boys and a Tampa Bay native. Growing up here and now raising my family in this community has given me a deep connection to the area, which is one of the reasons I was drawn to real estate. I’ve always been passionate about helping families find a place to call home, and being able to do that in a region I love makes my work even more rewarding.

Being a mom and spending time on the fields with my kids has taught me a lot about patience, dedication, and the importance of community. How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
One of the most significant pivots I’ve experienced in life came when I transitioned from my previous career in optics into real estate. I had always been passionate about helping others, but after having my three boys, I realized that I wanted a career that allowed me to balance my professional ambitions with my family life while also making an impact on others in a meaningful way.
At the time, I was spending a lot of time on the fields with my kids and immersing myself in our local community here in the Tampa Bay area. That’s when it clicked—I wanted to take my local knowledge and passion for people and apply it in a way that helped families find homes where they could build their own memories, just like I was doing with my boys.
Making that pivot wasn’t easy. I had to navigate the challenges of starting a new career in real estate while managing my responsibilities as a mom of three. It required a lot of hard work, new learning, and balancing, but the decision to pivot allowed me to create a career where I could not only be successful but also be present for my family.
Now, I work with Engel & Völkers Tampa Downtown, helping clients buy and sell homes with the same passion and dedication that I bring to my family life. That pivot not only gave me a career I love, but it also showed me how adaptable I can be when faced with change. I believe that’s one of the key reasons I can relate to my clients so well—they’re often going through major transitions, too, and I understand firsthand how important it is to have someone by your side who truly cares and is ready to guide you through the process.
