We were lucky to catch up with Rachael Joiner recently and have shared our conversation below.

Rachael, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

I’m a current Arizona resident and a Chicago native with a passion for education. As a young adult, I earned a dual Masters in Adult Education and Business Management and effectively used my experience and knowledge to educate families and the community. I served as a trainer and education director in several capacities. I’m currently the Director of Operations of a nonprofit community service provider where I’m actively involved with its literacy and education programs.

During my career as the Education Director at a prominent college in Illinois, I realized that many people, younger and older, were seeking careers with little to no direction or understanding of what they were getting into. It just seemed like “the right thing to do” for some. They had no plans or idea of how they would get out of student loan debt, credit card debt, or other tackle other financial burdens. They had no end game, just an immediate fix to getting a job and being employed.

I knew what helped me. I knew that my knowledge of credit, financial literacy, investing, real estate and business ownership gave me a foot in the door on the road to financial freedom. One day, during an earlier real estate position, I met a woman who was facing foreclosure after a hardship. She was in a very similar position as me when my son died. Had I known then what I know now, things would have been different. I looked at her in the same light. If she had met me six months prior, she would’ve known different, possibly saving her from being homeless with her children. That was the day I decided to start my journey and mission to educate families and the community on creating generational wealth through the power of credit, financial literacy, and real estate.

I began my real estate career in 2007 as an appraiser trainee, but it started as just a part time job. There was no real mission. The experience with the young grieving mother moved me to a place of desperation to save as many people as I could by educating them on the proper steps to leveraging credit and real estate. I moved on to teach financial literacy and credit workshops.

Since then, I’ve become a top producing Realtor in Arizona, a Mortgage Loan Officer, a Board Certified Credit Counselor, a mobile Notary and Loan Signing Agent, an Illinois Real Estate Agent, and a dedicated real estate mentor with a team of vibrant Arizona real estate agents affectionately known as The Brown House Group Real Estate Team.

I am a dedicated, vibrant individual always ready to help others. I’m committed to changing lives and making others smile, one home at a time.

I’m Rachael, the realest Realtor you’ll ever meet, and the owner of The Brown House Group. How did you build your audience on social media?

I continue to build my brand and audience on social media through education. Coming from an education background helps, but we all know something that could help the next person. Providing value to your audience if the most significant way to gain a loyal following.
