We were lucky to catch up with Rachael Hall recently and have shared our conversation below.
Rachael, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Owner of Knot Yourself Medical Massage Studio. We have 2 locations; Medina and newly opened Westlake.
I’ve been in the medical field for over 10 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and graduated in July 2019 with my Massage Therapist License.
My nursing experience, I’ve worked in geriatrics, rehab, admissions, and pediatrics.
I loved helping patients and wanted to make a bigger difference in more lives and give back to the community, not only as a nurse medically but from a different approach.
Knot Yourself Medical Massage Studio was registered with the state of Ohio September 2019!
We offer Medical /Therapeutic Massage, Dry Needling, Stretch Sessions as well as multiple modalities.
I wanted Knot Yourself to stand out from the norm, unique and successful not only with our clients but staff.
I’m passionate to learn and in return teach new and current Massage Therapists in the field. There is always something new to learn, a technique to master or problem to solve. We all work together hear.
Innovative as well in this industry too…So we created a Service never seen before…The Massage Bar.
The Massage Bar service was created from the perspective of the client. A formed list of questions, pros and cons of the community’s response and experience with massage industry and what can we do as service providers and offer as to narrow the gap between therapist and clients to achieve client success stories.
Knot Yourself started with myself solo, one room inside a Fitness Gym on Medina Public Square. Knot Yourself hired staff and grew to take up 3 rooms in the gym and finally made the BIG move to our NEW location Jan 2023!
Currently working on Westlake now…opening mid-late June 2023.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Good bye Nursing, hello Medical Massage….and backlash. This one word just about sums up what I received after announcing my enrollment at the massage school.
I clearly remember phone calls, reading texts and comments on social media, questioning my decision to leave the nursing world…..thinking why not encouragement?
It wasn’t until later, I realized this right here was the strength that as got me though hard times and to the people I
need in my life
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Maximum Potential here in Medina approached me with an opportunity to expand to Westlake with additional rooms they have available in the office.
So this begins Knot Yourself’s story in Westlake
