Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Quinton White. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Quinton, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
When I started college, I had no clear direction. I was there simply because it was what I had been told to do, and I figured, ‘Everyone does it, so I might as well, too.’ After a short-lived college football stint, I realized I needed to take my health seriously. During my first few years of undergrad, I lost around 60 pounds and felt better than ever. My roommates started coming to me for fitness advice, and that’s when it clicked—I changed my major and decided to pursue a career in fitness. That decision was the first major risk that set me on this journey.
Fast forward about ten years, and I’ve opened my first gym in the same town where I went to high school. It was, without a doubt, the biggest risk I’ve ever taken. I left a stable job with long-term security to chase a dream I had at 19. While this journey is still unfolding, I can confidently say that taking this leap has been the most rewarding experience of my life. I wouldn’t change it for anything.
If there’s one piece of advice I can share, it’s this: Take the risk. Jump.

Quinton, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
From a young age, I knew I wanted to teach or coach in some capacity. During college, I made a pivotal decision to take my health seriously and changed my major to exercise science, knowing that fitness would be a long-term passion. There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping people unlock their potential and feel better about themselves—it’s a feeling that continues to drive me to this day.
Over the years, I’ve worked in nearly every corner of the fitness industry—from supplements and big-box gyms to gym management and boutique fitness. Now, as the owner of Freedom Fitness O’Fallon, my mission remains the same: to help others. While it’s not entirely altruistic (because seeing people succeed gives me purpose), my experience has shaped the way I approach fitness. I’ve been in my clients’ shoes—I know what it’s like to struggle with working out and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. That perspective allows me to connect with people on a deeper level and provide the support they truly need.
At Freedom Fitness O’Fallon, our commitment is simple: We have your back. Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey or looking to take it to the next level, we’re here to support, guide, and push you toward success

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I believe my reputation has been built on my personality and unwavering passion for helping others. In a service-driven industry like fitness, effective communication is essential—you either have it or you don’t. Fortunately, I’ve been able to connect with people in a way that resonates, allowing me to guide, motivate, and support them on their fitness journeys. This ability has been instrumental in creating lasting relationships and fostering a community built on trust and results.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The most powerful source of new clientele is, without a doubt, word-of-mouth. In the fitness industry, results speak for themselves—when someone loses 10 pounds and their friends take notice, they become a walking testament to their progress. Naturally, conversations arise, and just like that, one client’s success can generate multiple new leads. This organic form of marketing is invaluable, as it builds trust and credibility in a way that no advertisement can replicate.
