Q The Question, appreciate you joining us today. It’s easy to look at a business or industry as an outsider and assume it’s super profitable – but we’ve seen over and over again in our conversation with folks that most industries have factors that make profitability a challenge. What’s biggest challenge to profitability in your industry?
Well because music is so oversaturated, it can’t get very overwhelming when you get sent music from aspiring artist. It’s a gift and a curse the internet, I say. One it gave so many aspiring artist a lane to get heard but at the same time, it’s just so much.
You really have to find an artist you believe in and see if their worth the risk and investment. Music is a fickle business and for every artist that gets signed to a major deal, stats wise, only so few will become huge. The odds of becoming a Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Jay Z or Drake is like slim to none, but the love of music gives us hope to keep going hoping to find it
Because man, you will spend so much money before they crack.

Q The Question, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Well, I’ve started in the business as a writer for major publications such as Hiphopdx, Yo Raps, Ozone, and others such as HHNlive.com and Sixshot.com. Did interviews with your favorite entertainers from rappers, athletes, models, actors and all. From that I used my connections as a journalist and worked my way up. Did college radio and all as well, when I was a student at North Carolina A&T State University. I’m proud of the name that I’ve built, especially being well known and respected in the Philly market, as they say you have to get hot in your hood! The street teams, the top notch publicity we get busy!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Just grinding and going hard and not making excuses, when you get paid to do a job you do it! Your rep is everything and people have dreams, they are holding you responsible to make that happen.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
Loyalty is key and when people show you who they are believe them,
As the old saying goes, want to see how someone is, look how they treat others, eventually you’ll get your turn.
