We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Quintessa Solomon-Hardy. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Quintessa below.
Quintessa, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
I started my journey as a makeup artist ten years ago and changed the concept of my company to bring beauty to mental health in business. I changed my services to provide strategies and programs that would cover the professional and personal development of men and women. Today I am a successful business coach, empowerment speaker, author of three books with over ten years of experience. I had to really challenge myself to step into an unfamiliar lane and launch this brand that would be life changing for others. I had to invest in business coaching myself, hire executive level team for marketing and logistics, orchestrate the curriculum of my coaching platform, while working a full time job and pursing my education.

Quintessa, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Unique Beauty, LLC understands the value and importance of organization, empowerment, and the ability to grow to higher levels in life personally and professionally. My company magnifies the astronomical issue sweeping the nation, mental health, and provides the tools and strategies needed for successful business owners by implementing coaching programs, training courses, books, motivational speaking, annual events to promote empowerment and mental health. My company is known for coaching, discovery calls, digital products, master financial and goal setting workbooks, and training programs for entrepreneurs and business owners. We provide all services through our website.
I have obtained my bachelor’s degree in psychology and my master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and Case Management, which contributes to the mentor-ship and mental health of my business. I have been in business for myself for over ten years and have a team of educated and knowledgeable men and women who currently or previously owned successful and long-standing businesses. We are connected to other organizations, non-profit and sole proprietors to educate, network, and train incoming clients on successful ownership. What sets me apart from others is the fact that I am helping an astronomical issue of mental health and providing tools to help others grow in their business. I am most proud of the “blueprint” of my business planning in which pulling my degree and entrepreneur aspirations together for a great cause.
What I want people to know is that it’s not where you start, but where you are going and anything is possible.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele would be continuing to show up and building trust within my community. If I say I am hosting a FREE training or event that is what I do while providing great gems and information. I always share videos and screenshots of my clients to share their experience working with Unique Beauty. I establish trust in my community by showing up and following through with what I stand on. I ensure daily social media engagement, send newsletters, and text message blasts for sales, upcoming events, announcements and releases.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
During the pandemic, like many entrepreneurs, sales were low and I was struggling to retain clients. I had to continue showing up for my business, repurposing content, and keeping my online community engaged. Because of the “lock down” there was no way to host in person events, so I had to create online summits, virtual trainings, and really pivot to build more of an online presence.
