We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Quincy Moore. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Quincy below.
Alright, Quincy thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I’ve been around music my whole life. It all started when I was 2 years old. I use to run around the house every time I heard music playing. I use to go down the stairs to the basement and watch my biological father play the piano every time he was playing. I use to sing to the keys of the piano. That’s when I knew that I had a true love and passion for music. At the age 6 years old I started out singing in a church choir at Second Baptist in Kinloch, Missouri. Me and my two brothers. Then when I was 8 we went to a different church and they made me the lead singer in the teen choir, I was singing with 13 to 18 year olds. That’s when I actually wrote my first Rap book. It was 20 pages long full of rhymes and verses from songs that I’ve written. As I got old I stopped singing in the choir and focused more on rapping. When I was 13 I recorded my first song in the studio. I’ve been in plenty of talent shows threw out my childhood but my first local show was when I turned 15. Since then I kept projecting my craft and performed at different venues, selling all of my tickets to my fans and supporters, then when I turned 21 I opened up for the first National act “Bubba Sparks” later down the line I went to open up for “Montana 300” Da Baby” MoneyBagg Yo” Twista” etc

Quincy, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’ve always performed at talents shows and different youth events as a kid. When I was a teen I started posting freestyle rap videos on YouTube to build my audience. I’ve gained a lot of attention on YouTube and on social media from posting different videos and I would have my twin brother record the video and edited it. That helped expand my music. Threw out this time I was at a local status and getting my name out in the city. I started reaching national attention when I released my first single of 2020 called “Grindin” which accumulated 50,000 streams digitally and 21,000 views on YouTube. After I released the single I dropped my first EP titled “Jump” which got alot of great feedback from the community and alot of media platforms in the Midwest. After I released my ep I started to open up for National acts such as “Bubba Sparks” DaBaby” “MontanaOf300” “Twista” “MoneyBaggYo” etc. To further expand my music career I attended “Varttorete The Extreme Institute By Nelly” I graduated with a associate degree in Recording Engendering & Business Management. I’ve learned a lot about the music industry such as contracts, distribution services, streaming services, performance rights organizations and copyrighting music and more! I was able to apply what I learned to my music career. After I graduated I got hired at a radio station and been working in the radio industry every since.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is that you can impact and help change lives threw your voice. With the exception of being creative and making songs, as an artist you also get to use your voice and image as a platform to inspired and motivate others to be the best they can be.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
One of the main goals I have for my career is to be a successful Recording Artist, own a Record label and also own a radio station. With my knowledge and experience in both fields and with me being active in both fields I know that I am on the path to accomplishing those goals
