Quiana, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Getting that first client is always an exciting milestone. Can you talk to us about how you got your first customer who wasn’t a friend, family, or acquaintance?
My inaugural client was a family member. I began combining fruits with Seamoss to gauge the flavor. This marked the inception of my business. My cousin introduced me to Seamoss around the time of Covid, as I was experiencing asthma-related issues. Following a two-day hospitalization, my cousin recommended Seamoss, which alleviated my symptoms. However, I found the plain variety unpalatable, so I started mixing it with fruits, making it more tolerable. This ultimately led to the establishment of my business.

Hello, I’m Quiana. Q’s Flavored Seamoss was established during the COVID pandemic. As an individual with asthma, I was considered high-risk and subsequently hospitalized for two days. Following my release, my cousin visited and brought me Seamoss, which led to a significant improvement in my health within 2 to 3 days. I have been consuming Seamoss ever since. Initially, I found the original gel unpalatable, so I experimented with mixing it with fruits to make it more tolerable, given its health benefits. My cousin, who introduced me to Seamoss, was impressed with the flavor after I mixed it with fruits. I received positive feedback, which encouraged me to create Seamoss drinks using organic fruits and vegetables, a unique offering in the market. I take pride in the fact that my business is built on referrals, with all my customers being referred to me. I am thankful and blessed to have developed a product that resonates with people. What sets my Seamoss apart is its distinct flavor profile, which does not resemble others in the market. Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
It’s a positive development when new customers inform me that people notice my presence. My customers appreciate and trust me enough to recommend me to others, highlighting my expertise in preparing Seamoss correctly. My product yields tangible benefits, effectively speaking for itself.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I maintain communication through text messages, emails, and regular phone calls, typically once or twice a week, to inform them of the promotional deals I am advertising that month or week, or simply to touch base.
