Hi Queen, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My mission is to inspire, encourage, and heal people through the arts! I am a professional Artist/singer-songwriter who sings Soul/R&B music. I write songs about believing in yourself and going after your wildest dreams. My mission is to invoke the greater you and help you see your own potential. I know the power of music and how it is the universal language that connects every last one us in the world. I do not take my gift of music lightly and I know I was put here to serve my commuinty through the arts. The story behind my mission is to be a vessel and allow the Highest message to shine through my music!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Queen Sheena and I am an Artist! I have been a professional singer/songwriter for the past seven years. I grew a love for the arts at a very young age and began to sing in my church choir. When I was ten I wrote my very first poem and grew a love for writing poetry. Years later those poems turned into award-winning songs and inspiration for fans who I call my CROWNS! What sets my music apart is that is it raw and free! My song writing process is very authentic, creative, and nothing like most people have ever seen. I am thankful to have the best fans who allow me to create freely.
I am most proud of overcoming my fears and sharing my gifts and talents with the world! I am proud to say I am truly living my purpose by serving my community through the arts.
I want my Crowns and new Crowns to know that I am a vessel who was blessed with the gift of music to help spread the message of healing and love! I pray my voice heals you and my lyrics take you somewhere in time. My songs tell a story of hope, self love, clartity, inspiration, love, pain, happiness, strength, and gratitude.
I want to inspire everyone to believe in themselves and live their wildest dreams!
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I chose to remain my true authentic self as an artist and that is how I grew a great reptuation within my market. I am a true believer of being yourself and the rest will take care of itself. If you are producing and creative art from a genuine place and out of love your gift will speak for itself. We were all created different and unique there is no reason we all should be doing the same thing as artist. We all have a story to tell that someone needs to hear. So, tell your story!
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is I get to serve and heal people in a very distincitve way! Fame, money, and rewards are not my mission even though I know they will come…I get my reward from my CROWNS telling me that my music helped change their life or my music saved their life. There is no reward on Earth that can describe how I feel when someone tells me my music helped them in one of the darkest times their lives.
When I write, sing, and create I am rewarded by being able to feel free and present! When I sing all my anixety, fear, and pain goes away..there is no greater reward than that…
