We were lucky to catch up with Quan’ta Evans recently and have shared our conversation below.
Quan’ta, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Has Covid resulted in any major changes to your business model?
Covid was terrible but during that time is when we curated a lot of the deigns and grown work for the clothing brand. there wasn’t a lot of opportunities and a lot of places were closed down so everybody was just sitting at home watching. Couple months in and we started producing and dishing out designs and color schemes to logos and received a lot of good feedback. this was good traffic and we were able to stay consistent enough to build a fan base.

Quan’ta, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Quan’ta, i’m 29. Im an artist/engineer and I also own the iSk8 Forever brand. I been making and writing music since I was young. Started a serious journey some years back, since 2015 I been just slowing making progression and learning more and more about the business. I started doing more with my brand far as close and merch when covid hit us and a lot of other opportunities weren’t available. Since then I’ve have a lot of successful drops and collaboration projects with other designers and brand owners. We try to focus on making high quality, affordable street wear. We also own a studio and provide recording and production services for other artist and creatives. We help artist with roll outs and creative direction for projects and videos. Im very proud of where the brand and I myself have came far as being an artist. Our past accomplishments opened the door for the brand to continue to grow and expand. I just want clients and future clients to know that they are appreciated and are in good hands for what ever service they inquire from us. From the clothes, to production every person and project will be handled and executed to their standard and highest of quality.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Quality and consistency. Ive learned that things go in and out of styles and people attention span is short. So to build a solid reputation its a must that you stay on top of designs and bring the best quality to the table. Quality is everything, from the design to the fabric. And thats just for clothes, music is just as serious when it comes to quality and consistency. Those two things are what I used in the past to create the reputation we have today.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
50 cent Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter was a good book and a favorite of mines. He dealt with some of the same issues that I had to deal with and hearing his ways of maneuvering and handling those situation helped me a lot. Just being able to read about another way to handle and go about these problems was very beneficial because I could have possibly been held back or taken a major L if I didn’t adapt in those times. I still apply a lot of the information I learned form that book in my everyday life when managing my companies or for clients as well as myself
