We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Quanna Della. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Quanna below.
Quanna, appreciate you joining us today. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
We wish we would have done this sooner we have always this energy we just didnt know that podcasting would become such a major ave for people to express themselves and even make money from it
Quanna, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
We have been friends for over 10 years and when we do go out into social setting we would meet alot of new people. We would just talk to people in general conversation and we would always be told ” You guys should have your own podcast”. But we never gave it much thought because we would think who really wants to hear us just talk. We finally decided to do it. We believe we sometimes say things that the average female would not say, only because we both grew up in the presence males so there was not a lot of female influence on how to behave like ladies or what to say. We know females can be sensitive when it comes to sex, relationships and health. We feel it necessary that we give our female listeners advice from somewhat a male point of view. We know this because we grew up with all brothers and male cousins. We have heard the conversations, we know what they are saying and how the are preserving us females. And as for our male listeners because we grew up listening to how males thinking they know the thoughts and feelings of females we are able to tell them the real truth and how to look for it. Our show is basically females friends talking over a couple shots of liquor. The same as if we were home having a girls night. Quanna is more the creative out of the us she like to give people the benefit of the doubt and think beyond the normal. Della is more the cut to the point and she takes things for what the are and she is going to tell you that
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Being able so socialize with our peers in more open minded way. Any one can hold a conversation but once you become a creative you are more open minded to what others have to say. Everyone seems to go through the same issues in life but we all deal with it differently. Since starting our podcast it seems people ask for advice more. When we go to bars, parties and even family gathers the first thing people say is let me ask something and they go into stories about life, spouse issues, sex and even raising kids. We love that people respect our thoughts. We even use them as topics for our shows so we can get a wider range of opinions to help others.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
It sounds crazy but our ultimate missions is to teach our kids communication through our podcast. Even though the show in its self is not kid friendly we want our kids to know that its ok to talk. Whether it be with us your parents, friends, family even a therapist. Even if you keep a journal or have your own secret podcast where is just you talking to yourself. Podcast for both of house is at times our own therapy. If we are having a bad week we will say to each other lets record its a release a way of getting things off your chest. We want our kids to know never be ashamed to speak on anything and dont let society filter you into thinking that you opinion is frowned upon as long as you do it in a respectful manner
