We were lucky to catch up with Quandell Wright recently and have shared our conversation below.
Quandell , appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Starting a fashion brand has been a dream for me since I was 8 years -old. I wanted to create pieces that was different, timeless, and before its time. I want to open up doors for the designers to do the same and flourish as well.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I fell in love with fashion at a young age, some of the kids would bully me because I didn’t rock name brand heavy. My mother was young and was raising 3 boys on her own and she did a beautiful job. Being bullied actually helped my creative juices flow in other words I became motived. I’ll tell my friends that one day I’ll make my own clothes one day and I don’t want wear what everyone is anyway. So, everyday when I got home from school I’ll sketch different types of shoes, clothes, accessories and etc… At the age of 12 I taught myself how hand sew and I cut up my old shirts, cut the letters of my name out of it and sew it on to my denim jeans and jackets.
Fast forward to 2016, I officially started my brand William Palmer Homme. I started off with 12 t-shirts and it took me forever to sell those 12 t-shirts. I didn’t know that starting and having a business was really difficult, I thought I would of had more support from family and friends, but I had learn the hard way and realize that I just have to put in the work to get where I want to go. This has been a great journey for me and I’m glad I stayed consistent, persistent, and most keeping faith… because without any of these and without have discipline you shut down.
After years of hustling, grinding, losing people around me that I thought were close and loved me dearly I see the doors I always wanted to open are opening. I created some of the dopes pieces and I’m proud of myself. Being the greatest version of myself, staying creative, collaborating with other and etc.. has always set me apart from others.
I’m proud of myself for not giving up on me.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Guerrilla marketing is always the way for me and will always be the way until the end of time. Promoting your product and everything on social is cool, but its nothing like being creative with your market strategy that’s going to have people interacting with you on the spot. Get creative with your marketing strategy and people faces… literally.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
One of favorite books to read all the time is Think and Grow Rich. That’s your bible. study it and apply the knowledge.
