We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Quan Spivey a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Quan, appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

I came up with my brand PopQuan because I wasn’t able to get a job in the media field. I was advised numerous times I lacked experience so I decided to create my experience. I build my empire off an idea and research, I came into the eager to learn and dedicated to being a business owner.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My business is Popquan, we specialize in Podcast, Photography, Youtube and Modeling.

I’m proud of how I expanded my brand and tapped into different ideas all at one time. .

My head is still developing and gaining new audience daily.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

I learned how to conduct myself in a business manner even when others are unprofessional. Never get out of character when handling business it will always backfire on you.

Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?

Back in 2020, I decided to quit my 9-5 and become an entrepreneur full-time. During that time I invested thousands of dollars into my business just to see it struggling. I began to focus strategically on marketing through social media platforms and learned how to edit my content. I figured out a way to get paid through social media promoting my business ideas
