Word of mouth became the life line to both businesses . At first, I was overwhelmed by the sudden interest. I went from cooking for a couple of people to managing multiple meal prep orders while coordinating styling consultations. I realized quickly that organization and time management would be key to sustaining the growth.

I had to adapt by creating systems such as meal prep menus with options that allowed me to streamline the cooking process while still delivering quality and variety. For the styling side, I started offering capsule wardrobe consultations to help clients build versatile looks. This dual focus let me serve clients efficiently while staying true to my passion for creating confidence; whether through food or fashion.

The challenge was balancing both businesses without losing the personal touch that made me stand out in the first place. I’ve learned to embrace help, outsourcing some tasks like grocery shopping and even hiring a part-time assistant during busy seasons.

It was such a learning curve, but seeing clients light up when they felt good in their clothes or tasted something I made reminded me why I started. It’s wild how word-of-mouth took what started as a passion for sharing my gifts into full fledged businesses.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been authentic word of mouth referrals. My journey started with a small circle of people who believed in my talents, and the personal touch I bring to everything I do created a ripple effect. When clients see the level of care, attention to detail, and passion behind my work; whether it’s a perfectly styled outfit or a meal that feels like love on a plate, they naturally share their experiences with others.

Another key strategy has been leveraging social media to showcase my work. Posting styling transformations, behind the scenes glimpses of my meal prep and catering, and sharing testimonials have helped me connect with a broader audience. This visibility not only attracts new clients but also builds trust with people who’ve never met me in person.

Lastly, I’ve focused on building genuine relationships with my clients. By really listening to their needs; whether it’s finding a dress that fits their personality or creating a custom menu that suits their dietary preferences; I make sure they feel seen, valued, and cared for.
