We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Qi Rosa Zhang a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

At Queue Agency, our mission is deeply intertwined with my personal journey in the fashion industry. I began my career as a designer, working in various roles for both independent designers and renowned houses like Vera Wang and Moncler. This hands-on experience has given me a unique perspective on the industry, allowing me to fully understand the challenges and struggles that emerging talents face. I’ve been where they are—navigating the competitive landscape, striving to break through, and finding a voice amidst established giants.
This understanding is the driving force behind Queue Agency’s mission. We are dedicated to discovering and amplifying emerging talent, not just helping brands find their niche, but ensuring they resonate with the right audience. Our mission is meaningful because it’s personal—I’ve lived the struggles, and I know what it takes to overcome them.

I’m Qi Rosa Zhang, the founder of Queue Agency, a NYC-based PR and marketing firm dedicated to discovering and amplifying emerging talent in the fashion industry. My journey into this field began as a designer, where I honed my craft working with both independent designers and renowned fashion houses like Vera Wang and Moncler. This hands-on experience in design and craftsmanship gave me a deep understanding of the creative process and the unique challenges that designers face in bringing their visions to life.
After years of working closely with these brands, I realized there was a significant gap in the industry—a need for a more personalized and strategic approach to PR and marketing, especially for emerging designers and artists who often struggle to find their footing in a competitive market. This realization led me to create Queue Agency in 2022.
At Queue, we provide a full suite of PR and marketing services, including strategic media placements, content creation, and event coordination, all tailored to help our clients find their unique voice and connect with their ideal audience. We specialize in working with designers who are not just creating beautiful products, but who are also pushing boundaries with ethical and sustainable practices. Our mission is to elevate under-the-radar talent, helping them break through the noise and achieve the recognition they deserve.

Having been on the creative side myself, I understand the nuances of the industry from both a designer’s and a marketer’s perspective. What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I believe what helped me build my reputation in the market is treating every project with respect and only taking on projects that I genuinely believe in and know I can make a positive impact on. I’ve always been committed to honesty—no false promises or exaggerated claims just to secure a client. This approach has pushed us to constantly grow, ensuring that we’re truly prepared for big projects rather than faking it. By focusing on authenticity and delivering real results, we’ve built trust and a strong reputation within the industry.


Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
Yes, my side hustle eventually became my full-time career. I started by taking on events and consulting work on the side. As more people sought my expertise in production, marketing, and PR, I saw an opportunity to turn this into a full-time business.
A big part of my success is my meticulous attention to detail. I’m known for ensuring that every element of an event aligns with our commitments. From choosing sustainable serveware to meticulously designing the scent, visuals, and sound, I believe in the power of a well-crafted experience. This attention to detail has helped me build a strong reputation and attract new clients through events and word-of-mouth referrals.
Launching Queue Agency allowed me to formalize the business and grow. Securing major clients and expanding the team were significant milestones, and the support from the creative community has been invaluable. Each successful project and positive client interaction has further solidified my position in the industry.
