We recently connected with Qadada Lindsay and have shared our conversation below.
Qadada, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
The inception of Quality Too Good Management, LLC, stems from a convergence of my passion for music, experiences in the industry, and a desire to fill a crucial gap. The idea crystallized as I reflected on my journey from being signed as an artist (Qadada The God) to a terrible management company in Los Angeles.
The catalyst was the recognition that many talented artists lacked comprehensive support beyond recording. Traditional management often fell short, and artists were navigating the industry’s complexities alone. It struck me that there was an opportunity to provide more—a one-stop platform where artists could not only record but receive guidance, promotion, and a dedicated manager invested in their success.
The context was my extensive experience recording artists across the United States. I saw firsthand the challenges they faced—financial constraints, lack of strategic support, and the absence of a holistic approach to their artistic journey. Embracing the role of a manager was a natural progression, a way to channel my experiences and insights into supporting fellow artists on a deeper level.
The emotions driving this venture were a mix of empathy and excitement. Empathy, as I deeply understood the struggles artists faced, having been on that path myself. Excitement, as I envisioned creating a community where artists could thrive, collaborating with a manager who not only understood the industry but also had walked the artistic journey.
The logic behind this venture was clear—I aimed to fill a void. Quality Too Good Management, LLC, wasn’t just solving a problem; it was offering a unique approach. I wanted to be more than a service provider; I wanted to be a collaborator, a mentor, and a driving force behind an artist’s success. My excitement stemmed from the prospect of building a supportive ecosystem that could elevate artists beyond just recording studios or conventional management structures.
In essence, the idea was to create a space where artists could flourish, backed by a manager with a personal understanding of the artistic journey, and I was driven by the belief that by doing so, we could redefine success in the music industry.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
