We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Q Morris a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Q, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think it takes to be successful?

It takes perseverance to become successful. Things will get harder with ever new level you attain and failure is a big part of the journey. If failing is something that you don’t like then success may not be your thing.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

My name is Q, I go by The ALMTY as far as creativity goes. I’m an artist based in Atlanta well versed in many of the visual arts. Presently I am focused mainly on photography as well as completing a tattoo apprenticeship. I’ve been shooting for about 3 years now and I prefer business & beauty portrait styles shoots. My brand is simply based around quality.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Consistency and networking. I’m very introverted so it’s very rare that I tend to go out, but in order to grow my photography business I had to start going to networking events. They really help a ton.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

The best source of new clients is word of mouth. People easily believe in people that they already have relationships with, so get out there and do some free work to build the eyes that are on your brand and then showcase the quality you possess and the rest falls into place.
