We were lucky to catch up with Pyro Da Arsonist recently and have shared our conversation below.
Pyro, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
Around 12 or 13 years old I started writing in a journal as a way to cope with being bullied and it eventually turned into poetry. One day I was hanging out with my cousin and heard hip hop for the first time and I realized that it is like poetry but on a beat so that’s when I decided to start writing my poetry on a beat and before I knew it I was writing full songs. In 2010 is when a friend of mine heard one of my songs and told me to come to his in house studio to record it and that’s when I caught the bug. The rest as they say is history.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
My music career started in 2010 when I first started trying to get my music heard and the first people to give me the opportunity to get my music played was AD The General and Ms. Fefe of the Elegant Hoodness Program. That same year I won an award for “Most Requested Artist Of The Year”. My Radio Personality career started in 2014 when my friends Choice of NY and Jeshaze invited me to promote my music on their show “The Lyrically Live Show” and during that time they needed an apprentice to help them with the social media side of the show so I joined the team and eventually became a co-host. I went on to be part of a couple of other shows and even won a Radio Show Of The Year Award but In November of 2021 I started my own show “The Vibe Lounge Show” and also became a writer for “The Artistry” website and “Rare Royalty Magazine” thanks to V-Henny and Ms. Fefe respectively. I want potential clients to know that I am always determined to provide them with the best experience so that they can feel confident and happy with the service they paid for. I stand by my brand and I’m proud of the reputation I have for going above and beyond for my clients.
Is there a mission driving your creative journey?
My mission is to build relationships with different creatives and brands so that I’m able to provide more resources for any potential clients and give them the opportunities to help them succeed in their careers.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me it’s when my clients tell me that they have had one of their best experiences on my show and they appreciate my work ethic and my services.
