We recently connected with Purvi Talati, and have shared our conversation below.
Purvi, appreciate you joining us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
Currently we are a family owned company, my kids help with shipping, packaging, pricing, customer service. I hope that when my kids grow up, they continue this journey, I hope that at some point they will learn to make the products also and they continue to run the family business! I would love if my kids can build the legacy for Daisy’s and that we can continue to provide our products to the community for generations to come.

Purvi, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started Daisy’s Skin Care 3 years ago. We are a family owned company based in Atlanta, GA and Daisy’s started as my hobby of making soaps and oils that ultimately flourished to a full fledged business. Getting the first set of customers was tough as women generally are hooked to a certain brand of skin care and do not want to switch, but after that hurdle was passed, our client base grew exponentially, as we had gained customers for life. Our customers do the toughest part of business for us which is marketing. At Daisy’s our prime focus is to hand make and provide natural skin & hair care products to our community. My primary reason behind starting Daisy’s is to provide natural and cleaner skin & hair care products to the community that are affordable without breaking their banks.
Most skin & hair care products available in market that claim to be natural are super expensive and apart from the cost factor, what makes Daisy’s special is that many ingredients like Turmeric used in our products is grown organically by us in our home garden.
What sets is apart is also the fact that I make products in very small batches so they are very fresh and they actually expire in 6 months. Unlike commercial products, Daisy’s products do not sit on our shelves and are always made fresh!
We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process.
All our products are handmade and home made by me. All my recipes are inspired from Ayurveda and each ingredient used in products is recognizable and something we use day to day in our life like Turmeric, flours, hibiscus etc. I do not add any preservatives or chemicals/colors in my products.
All our products are made in our kitchen and they are not from a lab or a cosmetologist. Making products was the easiest part as that has been something I have been doing for years. Although figuring out the packaging, bottling and shipping was a huge learning curve and that took lot of trial and took us weeks to finalize that process.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
The quality of products and the fact that most my clients vouch that they see difference in their skin & hair by switching to natural products has been the biggest factor for building the reputation for Daisy’s. We have not spent marketing $, all our sales have come from client testimonials and then recommending the products to their friends & family. The second factor that has helped build our reputation is our top notch customer service, we thrive to ship all our orders within 2 days and we deliver that we promise!
