Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Pureness. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Pureness, thanks for joining us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
My core business has already been established; however, We as a whole needed to expand. The best way to do that for Faces By Pureness was selling products. We have sold items before and still do, however, it was only exclusively, so this would be different. First we decided what products we wanted to sell first and then what would follow. We wanted to make sure there was flow to the items and they all fit the brand as well. Once we took note of that and put it all in order, it was time to produce. What the products look like and how would we add our branding to them was next. This took some time but in the end it was worth it. Then I personally needed to figure out who could help to produce them as well as package them. This is where the real obstacles began. During the pandemic not only was travel cut off, but so was shipping to some places. Because of this no samples could be sent to be approved, I had to stop production. This took months and months until finally I found a new lab that was local and able to not only serve my company but give us the standard and quality we knew our clients deserved. Now we have been doing behind the scenes advertising via bloggers, magazines, billboards and vendor events. The only issue now is because some people know they are coming, it is hard keeping them on the shelves before they have even been made public. We at Faces By Pureness consider this a huge win and we look forward to the venture ahead!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a self trained Hair and Makeup Artist. I started in my teens and had many professionals guiding me from day one. I finally took my talents serious and made a career of it in 2006 that is when Faces By Pureness was official. Now after years of being in service, and staff, not only have the reviews been stellar, but also we are a full mobile luxury beauty celebrity service. We service the general public as well of all ages and races. We pride the Faces By Pureness brand with high sanitary, punctual, expeditious mobile hair and makeup services.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
In any success story there comes a story of struggle and hopefully resilience. My personal one was about how I put myself on the back burner for many years. With poor health and care for self, I found my body shutting down on me. I ignored it for much to long and finally when the pandemic hit, I decided there was no excuse to not finally sit down and take care of myself. If not my successes would have all been for nothing. So now two years later I am 240+ pounds down. I am happy, healthy and able to grow my business as I had planned. What’s even more amazing is the exposure my story has gotten gave my core business a boost and has put more eyes on the brand to bring awareness of the new expansion to consumers.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
After all is said and done Faces By Pureness would not exist if it were not for the clients and true supporters over the years. We have seen people from graduation, to marriage, to child birth and then seen their children grow to graduate too. The only reason this has been possible is because of not only talent, but consistency and a long list of other things that makes this brand stand out. Always checking in on clients after a service to be sure they had a great time and the services served them well is key. Some will even reach out voluntarily to sing praises. This is when we can keep a strong bond and relationship to keep the Faces By Pureness brand at the top of mind when our services should be needed again in the future. Sometimes this may be the moment clients will prebook for another future service. This is so vital in service businesses. Referrals are the strongest potential for a solid sale and these clients are the ones that will do it. So making sure they are happy during the service is great, however, the follow up is what will keep them coming back for a lifetime.
