We recently connected with Psyrille Mcleod and have shared our conversation below.
Psyrille, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
You know what I really believe it takes to be successful? It’s all about knowing yourself inside and out – like, really knowing yourself. And I can tell you this firsthand because I’ve lived it!
Back in 2020, I hit a pretty low point in my life, and that’s when everything changed. I discovered the world of self-development, and let me tell you, it was like someone turned the lights on! I realized that all these limiting beliefs I’d picked up growing up were basically running the show in my life, and not in a good way.
So I went ALL IN on this self-discovery journey. We’re talking meditation, daily affirmations, the whole nine yards. And here’s the crazy thing – as I started healing my inner world, my outer world started shifting too. It’s like that saying ‘your outer world is a reflection of your inner world’ – it’s so true!
I think what really makes someone successful is having the courage to look at yourself honestly and do that inner work. Like, sure, strategy and skills are important, but if you’re carrying around old wounds or beliefs that tell you ‘you’re not good enough’ or ‘you don’t deserve success,’ none of that other stuff really matters.
My personal transformation journey taught me that success isn’t just about what you do – it’s about who you become. Every morning when I meditate or listen to my affirmations, I’m not just checking boxes; I’m actively creating the foundation for success by working on myself first.
And honestly? This journey never really ends – I’m still learning and growing every day. But that’s what makes it beautiful, right? Success is really about becoming the best version of yourself, and that starts with healing and personal growth. Everything else – the business wins, the achievements – they’re just the cherry on top!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Let me take you on a little journey of how I got here! I actually started as a nail tech, and while I loved it, there was this nagging feeling that something bigger was calling me. You know that feeling when you just know there’s more to your story? That’s exactly where I was.
During my self-development journey (which totally transformed my life!), I discovered my true passion – helping women live their absolute best lives and teaching them the powerful truth that they can create their own reality. It was like this lightbulb moment! But I was stuck on the ‘how’ until my boyfriend suggested copywriting. Talk about a game-changer! I jumped into an online course and found my perfect avenue: helping self-development coaches amplify their message and make an even bigger impact.
From there, my path just kept evolving. I connected with this amazing brand that empowers women and started as their marketing assistant. But here’s the thing about me – I’m always hungry to learn more and be better, not just personally but in my industry too. What started as purely copywriting has blossomed into something much bigger. Now, I’m a full-fledged marketing and funnel strategist, helping women business owners build high-converting funnels and create marketing strategies that attract their dream clients. The ultimate goal? Helping these amazing women step into who they’re truly meant to be! ✨
What makes me most proud? It’s not just about the increased revenue (though that’s definitely nice!). It’s about the ripple effect of impact we create together. I exclusively work with brands I truly believe in, so every success story means we’re making the world a little bit better. And can I share something that still makes me smile? As a new copywriter, I had ALL the doubts and fears, but I still went after my dream clients – and landed them! Their trust in me was like rocket fuel for my confidence, and it showed in the results we achieved together.
Here’s what I really want everyone to know: those feelings of ‘not being qualified enough’ or ‘not being a great fit’? They’re actually just your body’s way of saying ‘Hey, big changes are coming, get ready!’ So when you want something, even if your inner critic is screaming doubts, DO IT ANYWAY. That butterflies-in-your-stomach feeling? It’s not a stop sign – it’s your signal that something amazing is about to happen!
Today, I help women business owners create marketing magic that feels authentic and gets results. Whether it’s building high-converting funnels, crafting compelling copy, or developing comprehensive marketing strategies, everything I do is focused on helping my clients make their biggest impact possible. Because when women step into their power and share their gifts with the world? That’s when the real magic happens!

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was this limiting belief that my background – being from a third world country and English not being my first language – somehow made me less qualified to help others with their messaging and marketing.
You see, I carried this heavy story around for the longest time. I’d think, ‘How could I possibly help these business owners with their messaging when English isn’t even my first language?’ I’d second-guess every word, every strategy, worried that my background would somehow make me less valuable or credible in their eyes.
But here’s the beautiful plot twist – what I saw as my biggest weakness turned out to be one of my greatest strengths! This journey of unlearning taught me that our unique perspectives and experiences actually make our work more impactful, not less. Having to master a second language gave me a deeper appreciation for clear, effective communication. Coming from a different cultural background allows me to bring fresh perspectives to my clients’ messaging strategies.
The moment I started embracing my story instead of hiding from it, everything shifted. I realized that authenticity – including where I come from and how I got here – is actually what makes my work special. Now, I help my clients craft messages that resonate globally, and my background gives me a unique lens to see opportunities others might miss.
This unlearning journey taught me that our perceived limitations are often our greatest gifts in disguise. Now, I wear my story proudly because it’s not just about where you come from – it’s about where you’re going and the value you bring along the way!

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Social media has honestly been my best source for connecting with new clients, but here’s the real tea – it’s not just about posting and praying!
The key is having a complete funnel strategy ready BEFORE you start promoting. Think of social media as the perfect first date spot – it’s where you meet and vibe with your audience. I use it to share value, build genuine connections, and show potential clients what’s possible.
But the magic really happens in the nurturing process. While I love connecting with my audience on social media, I’ve found that email marketing is where relationships deepen and real conversions happen. It’s like moving from casual coffee dates to meaningful conversations!
So my winning formula is:
– Social media to attract and build my audience
– A solid funnel to guide them through their journey
– Strategic email nurturing to build trust and showcase value
The biggest lesson I’ve learned? Social media might be where clients find you, but it’s your complete marketing funnel that turns them from followers into paying clients. Always have your nurture strategy ready before you start promoting!
