Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Prolific Wone. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Prolific, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
End of the Weak, weekly open-mic in NYC’s Lower East Side, turned Global Hip Hop Movement.
We started as local artists coming together to facilitate an open mic on Sunday nights in LES, and with the creation of a groundbreaking rapping competition, we traveled the world spreading hip hop culture, love and dope vibes.

Prolific, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Lifelong multi-disciplinary creative from Alphabet City. I’m an MC, Creative Director, Curator and Community Organizer. My most recent and noteworthy projects include, Shooters Street Art, a NYC Street Art curation and production community, Gods of the Basement, a Hip Hop Supergroup, End Of the Weak (EODUB), NYC’s longest running weekly open mic and Prolific Wone, MC, Lyricist, Songwriter and Record label Owner. In addition I am a board member of the Verses Project, an art focused nonprofit that’s produces events and funds independent creatives.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Buy art from artists directly. With so many middlemen cutting into artists profits, you should intentionally buy directly from creators.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Life. If I’m not able to create and make art I’m not living to my maximum potential.
This corresponds with the other question option, “is there something you wish you knew sooner?”.
Yes, I wish I would have acknowledged and understood earlier in life that art is part of my spirit, and my journey. I took some time away from creative endeavors and I felt lifeless.
So now my mission is living. Through the work and from the works.
