We recently connected with Prodigi and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Prodigi, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
The most meaningful project I’ve worked on is something that is unreleased actually and I’m planning on releasing it very soon. All of my music is meaningful to me because it all comes from the heart & I don’t hold anything back in my lyrics. To give some insight into my next project, it focuses around some new sounds I’ve been working on, touches on new experiences & events that have taken place throughout my journey as an upcoming artist, & overall gives an inside look into the untold story of the artist on the rise, Prodigi. It’s a story of my past, present reality, and future all in one project but focuses on another side of me that people haven’t been introduced to just yet.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Prodigi. I originally got into making music from writing poetry and falling in love with being able to tell my story as I was never able to do so on my own without feeling misunderstood and in some ways alone. Music helped me to express my feelings fully and tell my story. I am an upcoming independent artist, songwriter, social media influencer, business owner, and aspiring professional model. I’m most proud of my songs “momma” on all platforms charting on Spotify, my most recent single “Prove It” which is getting more and more and more support by the day, & my most popular single “stronger” to be one of my songs to help me make a name for myself as an independent artist. I’ve also opened up for Billionaire Black, DJ Lucas, Foreign Dutch, Diamond Boy Trey, Ricky Hil, and that’s just to name a few artists. This is just naming a few of the accomplished I’ve achieved through my career.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
The goal that drives my creative journey is being able to support myself and my loved ones around me. I want to be able to help those who supported me and my goals even when I couldn’t do so myself. The main goal is to make a life or living out of my work & create a movement for those who choose to follow, being yourself and doing what you love.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist or creative is that I get to do what I love everyday and I’ve built sort of a bond with those who listen to my music because they’ve heard my story and continue to keep listening. I’ve never felt like I was understood from since I could remember so that feeling of relating with my audience and in a way trying to provide help for them through my lyrics is undeniably the most rewarding part of being an artist.
