We recently connected with Priyom Haider and have shared our conversation below.
Priyom, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I knew this relative early in my life when I first started modeling in college. I knew my ultimate goal was to pursue film acting, but I didn’t have as much insight or opportunity for it during college.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I knew I wanted to pursue acting in Hollywood, so I just waited to finish school first. My plan was to then just go as “equipped” as I can to Hollywood right after, and that was exactly what I did, however I was not nearly equipped at all! I came here with a one way ticket and learned everything from the school of hard knocks. I didn’t even have head shots when I first got here. Just a bunch of model pictures which I thought were enough, but not even close was the reality lol. I started the whole process ground up, and it has been a great learning curve. Speaking of, I’m constantly still learning to this day, as experienced as I am!
It was however because of my pursuit of an acting career in Hollywood, was what made me open up all my other entrepreneurial talents out of necessity! These also include producing, directing, writing, editing and photography!
What I am most proud of is the fact that I am one of a kind. Yes, it’s true everyone is unique, but not everyone brings the total package with diligence, drive, perseverance and intelligence as I do, in all areas of life – mind, body, spirit.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I am thinking of sort of pivoting/adding now, but the moves must be kept confidential before they are made :)
