We were lucky to catch up with Priscilla Ramcharan recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Priscilla, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with something countless entrepreneurs have had to figure out on the fly – how have you dealt with the rise of remote work?
I have been working remotely since 2016 and because my non-profit, Project Love Global operates internationally, working remotely is our best option. Technology has allowed me to host multiple events in Trinidad and virtually and to continue to develop Project Love Global internationally. It is highly important to decide which tools work best for you as there are many options to choose from. This can become overwhelming. Working remotely opens up your network and it is easier to find collaborators in all different fields. Some pitfalls include time zone difference and the availability of internet connection in certain countries. Another pitfall is the beauty of face-to-face interactions as this can sometimes cause delays in communication. Some non-obvious benefits include less travel time, more expansion, and sustainability where we don’t expend unnecessary energy and supplies. Overall, I enjoy working remotely because of the freedom of time and flexibility. It takes time to find the system that works for the individual and the company, and once that is established, the work and communication flows better. There is always room for improvement and for fine-tuning, and that’s where the fun is once you are passionate about the work you do.

Priscilla, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Project Love Global was founded by me because I recognize that there are many children who do not receive the love and care that they need on a daily basis. My goal is to ensure that children, especially in Trinidad for now, have their basic needs met, have a safe space, and have the resources they need to be successful in life. I host small events for students, such as end of the school year lunches, sending basic needs items to the island, hosting toy drives, and hosting a lovely Christmas event in December. One of our focuses has been on collecting women’s wellness products for girls on the island because they have been missing school due to the lack of proper supplies. I am most proud that through the beauty of technology, I was able to connect with the appropriate people and organizations to gather items, form a team, and have success in our endeavors. What sets us apart from others is that we have a huge network of like-minded individuals from around the world who are willing to help us. We appreciate every donation, big or small, as every little bit counts.

Let’s talk M&A – we’d love to hear your about your experience with buying businesses.
I currently partner with a company called ACN and we provide essential services to individuals and business owners. The benefit of ACN is that it flips the script and allows anyone to earn residual income by simply using their essential services. We offer all services from cellphones, internet, TV, security, payment process to travel and mortgage services. We are currently available in 27 countries and each time a customer pays their bill with us, a meal is provided to a child in their local community through Project Feeding Kids. I absolutely love my business because I am able to help everyone, those who never thought they could own an international online business to those who already own businesses and are looking for multiple streams of income. With ACN, it’s win on top of win on top of win. I’m very grateful to be where I am today.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, The Magic by Rhonda Byrne, and Ask and It is Given by Abraham-Hicks are all incredible reads. They all discuss how we attract who and what we are. Our success is based on our mindset and what we are putting out into the universe. I’ve learned that I cannot control anything but myself. These books taught me to clear out the clutter in my mind and decide what it is that I want. From there, focus on the inspiration and focus on attracting like-minded people. Without having a vision, one cannot create the life and business that they want. I have shared these books with my team and we have active discussions about our vision. I also really love watching documentaries about business success stories, especially the series, “The Food That Built America”.
