We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Priscila Ertty a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Priscila, thanks for joining us today. So, let’s start with trends – what are some of the largest or more impactful trends you are seeing in the industry?
One of the biggest trends we’re seeing in the social media industry is the explosive growth of User-Generated Content (UGC) and the rise of content creators building successful careers through social platforms. It’s no longer just the big influencers leading the change – everyday users, customers, and even employees are shaping the content landscape. UGC stands out because of its authenticity, allowing people to engage with real, relatable content that feels genuine. This sense of connection encourages more interaction, inspires people to share their own experiences, and builds stronger brand loyalty and recommendations.
The opportunity here is huge. Businesses that embrace this trend and understand the power of UGC, combined with strategic content marketing, can position themselves as leaders in their industry. But, on the other side, those that don’t adapt will quickly fall behind their competition. In the coming years, I believe we’ll see even more businesses investing in content creation as part of their marketing strategy – and with that, the demand for content creators will continue to rise.


Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
For those who may not have heard about Voilà Creative Agency before, let me introduce myself and share a bit about our journey. My name is Priscila, and I’m the founder of Voilà, based here in San Diego. Our agency specializes in social media marketing and content creation, with the focus on elevating the digital presence of businesses through high-quality, strategic content.
My love for photography began at an early age. But it wasn’t until I moved to San Diego in 2020 and started working as the marketing manager for Nova Easy Kombucha that my passion truly grew. During my time there, I worked closely with the social media agency managing our accounts and participated in numerous content production sessions. That hands-on experience re-sparked my interest in photography, videography, and storytelling, and opened my eyes to the huge opportunity within the digital marketing industry. With a dream of starting my own business, I decided to take a leap of faith and launch my own Creative Agency.
I’ve always had a strong connection to small businesses and startups, and this remains at the core of what we do today. My goal has always been to help businesses thrive, and we’re proud to serve many local brands right here in San Diego. I believe that what sets Voilà apart is our personal approach to everything we do. We believe in building strong relationships, understanding the unique stories behind each business, and creating content that goes beyond the surface. We’re a small, creative team full of ideas, results-driven, and motivated by the success of those we work with. It’s not just about delivering content – it’s about delivering results that our clients love and appreciate. And seeing that impact, both on a personal level and in their business success, is what makes me most proud.


What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
What started as a side hustle is now my full-time career, but the journey was far from easy. In the beginning, when I decided to quit my secure, full-time role as a marketing manager, I found another opportunity with flexible hours, giving me every possible moment to pour into building my own business. The early days were challenging – building a reputation and establishing a client base required a lot of patience, persistence, and resilience.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned? Building a name for yourself takes time, and success does not happen overnight. It was during the hard times that I kept my ultimate goal in mind: to create a successful business doing what I love, one that would sustain me financially and fulfill me personally.
After nearly a year of hustle, I reached my first big milestone: I was finally able to leave my part-time job and dedicate myself fully to Voilà Creative Agency. Fast-forward another year, and I’m proud of the impact we’ve had, the milestones we’ve achieved, and the incredible team that’s joined me on this journey. Every small win reaffirmed that persistence and resilience were key to making this dream a reality.

Our mission is simple: to create a lasting impact. Whether we’re capturing life’s most precious moments – milestones, weddings, and events – or helping businesses grow with strategic, high-quality content, our goal is always to make a meaningful difference.
