We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Princess Walker. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Princess below.
Alright, Princess thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
For much of my life, I wandered, searching for belonging in places and faces that never quite felt like home. Lost in a maze of uncertainty, I chased shadows and echoes, always moving but never truly finding my way. It wasn’t until I turned inward, confronting the stranger in the mirror, that I realized I had been homesick for myself all along. In that moment, I found clarity—I am my own home, and home is where the heart resides.
It was a moment of reckoning, a realization that I had been homesick from the person staring back at me. Through faith and introspection, I found solace in God’s unwavering guidance. His promises became my anchor, offering reassurance even in the midst of life’s storms. Embracing vulnerability became my strength, as I discovered the power of sharing my story. I learned that in our narratives lie connections and healing, transcending shame and fostering empathy.
In a pivotal moment, my journey led me to Ghana in 2021, igniting a fire within me to live boldly and authentically. This newfound courage propelled me into the digital realm as a lifestyle content creator and soon-to-be podcaster, diverging from my career in public health.
As the founder of Munah Musing, I am dedicated to empowering others on their path to wholeness. Through storytelling, blogging, and podcasting, I offer guidance gleaned from overcoming adversity, inspiring individuals to conquer fear and pursue their dreams.
My mission is clear: to equip others with the tools for personal growth and holistic living. Whether navigating mental health challenges or chasing aspirations, Munah Musing serves as a beacon of support and inspiration.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
By day, I serve as a dedicated Public Health/Program Manager professional, but come evening, I transition into the role of a lifestyle creator, educator, writer, and podcaster. Through my creative endeavors, I share insights on beauty, fashion, and life experiences, with a particular focus on empowering others in their pursuit of wholeness and encouraging them to embrace boldness and purpose with style and faith.
My friends often jest that I must be “Jesus’ Favorite Soldier,” a sentiment that resonates with my belief that I am indeed His cherished child. I’ve navigated and overcome life’s trials, emerging even stronger.
I embrace transparency, readily sharing the lessons gleaned from my journey of overcoming adversity. It’s my joy to extend support and guidance to others as they carve their own path toward fulfillment and craft their unique life blueprint.
My perseverance is owed to the grace of God and my lifestyle practices, firmly grounded in my Christian faith.
I hope that sharing my story, it touches and connects others to understand anytihng is possible with persevanace.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Authentically expressing myself and forging profound connections with others lies at the heart of my creative journey. Through art, I delve into my thoughts, emotions, and experiences, shaping them into expressions that resonate with diverse audiences. As a lifestyle creator, blogger, and podcaster, I curate content that reflects my true self and engages a wide audience. On my platforms, I explore various facets of life—from wellness and fashion to travel and personal development—sharing insights, tips, and stories that inspire and uplift others. With each post or podcast episode, I aim to tap into the essence of human experience, delving into topics that spark curiosity and encourage self-reflection. Whether I’m discussing the latest trends in lifestyle or sharing my own journey, my goal is to foster a sense of connection and community among my audience.
Witnessing the impact of my work as it uplifts, challenges, and fosters understanding across communities is deeply gratifying. I strive to exemplify the importance of representation and the significance of my voice in the creative space. Creativity affords me the liberty to explore, innovate, and share my unique perspectives with the world. Through this process, I find fulfillment in connecting and building a global community, bridging differences, and celebrating diversity. I am dedicated to empowering individuals to live authentically, embrace their passions, and find joy in the everyday moments.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
Transitioning from my traditional work routine to pursuing my dream and embracing the entrepreneurial lifestyle has been incredibly challenging. It demands a high level of discipline, focus, dedication, and self-belief. Despite feeling exhausted at times, I’ve learned to push through and remain committed to making my dreams a reality.
In a traditional job, I could simply clock in and out without much thought once my work was done. However, when it comes to growing and sustaining a business, or taking it to the next level, the journey is relentless. Even when faced with exhaustion or setbacks, I’ve had to persevere and keep pushing forward.
This shift in mindset requires constant determination and resilience, but the rewards of pursuing my passion and building something meaningful are worth every ounce of effort. Through discipline, focus, and unwavering belief in myself, I’m able to navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship and continue moving towards my goals.
Books like “Atomic Habits” by James Clear or “The One Thing” by Gary Keller and Jay Papasan, along with the Bible, have been incredibly influential in my entrepreneurial journey.
“Atomic Habits” has taught me practical strategies for building positive habits and breaking negative ones. By focusing on small, incremental changes, I’ve been able to improve my productivity and achieve my long-term goals more effectively.
“The One Thing” has emphasized the importance of prioritization and focus in my business endeavors. By identifying the one thing that truly matters and dedicating my energy to it, I’ve been able to streamline my efforts and make significant progress towards my objectives.
As for the Bible, while it may not be a traditional business book, its timeless wisdom has provided me with moral guidance and inspiration. Principles like integrity, perseverance, and stewardship have shaped my approach to leadership and decision-making in business.
Overall, these books and the teachings from the Bible have equipped me with valuable insights, strategic frameworks, and moral principles that have contributed to my growth and success as an entrepreneur. They’ve helped me overcome obstacles, stay focused on my goals, and make a positive impact in both my business and personal life.
