We recently connected with Prince Joshua and have shared our conversation below.
Prince, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
After moving to Arizona from Idaho when I was 18 I had started school for fashion, entered the queer community, and started influencing online. Through the 5 years i lived in Arizona i got my BA in Fashion Marketing and Management, became a social media influencer on Instagram, Tiktok, and Twitter, and became a well known gogo boy for my community. I started getting paid for modeling gigs, influencing, dancing, and doing the things that most brought me joy. It’s an incredible feeling to get paid to do the things you’re passionate about. I then decided to move to West Hollywood CA with my sister Rose Montoya. We entered the scene and quickly made friends and connections in the community. I have had an incredible year living in West Hollywood. From dancing for celebrity performances like Kim Petras, Years and Years, and Lil Nas X, i also had the opportunity to dance for big events like Weho Pride, Evita, Summer Tramp, Trixie Mattel, and the Boulet Brothers Halloween Ball. While dancing for some of the hottest events in LA i was also given the opportunity to be featured in Trinity the Tuck’s music video Femboys. Furthering my practice in front of the camera Daddy TV casted me in the all new gay dating show For The Love Of DILFS hosted by Stormy Daniels. The first episode premiered on January 31’st and is streaming on OUT TV. With all these wonderful experiences i can’t express how blessed i am to have been given these opportunities. With only one year passed i know moving to West Hollywood was the right decision for me. My papa & father always told me growing up to do what i loved, and find a way to make a living from it. I’m so happy to say that i am doing just that, I’m living the life they wanted for me and will continue chasing my dreams.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Starting as an Instagram enthusiast and aspiring model, i have always dreamed of having my name well known. From doing theatre to cheerleading to dancing i’ve always enjoyed entertaining on stage. I began having a passion for styling, creating, and modeling fashion, and went on to get my BA in Fashion Marketing. With combining my various passions i used my social platforms to build a brand going off my username Prince Joshua. By staying true to my royal aesthetic and using that to create content i established a presence for myself. After beginning to influence online and model for brands i decided i wanted to create something of my own, thus i created Majesty by Prince Joshua. Though i do not yet have the funding to create all the ideas i have, i did launch a small collection of merchandise using my royal aesthetic. There’s much more in the future that will come when the time is right, and i look forward to getting to share it when ready.
How did you build your audience on social media?
my biggest advice to gain and build your audience is to be genuine and authentic. There is only one of you in the entire universe, your ideas, your aesthetic, and your passions can come together to create a unique online presence or persona as long as you utilize your skills. Many people use this formula with different passions and aesthetics and that is why finding one that is completely yours, not a rip off of another, is so important. Do what you love, use the colors and decor that you love most, and stay true to who you are and what you stand for, and the right people who share similar values will find you.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The combination of using various social media platforms and using them to draw your audience to your website has been the best way to grow. Of course paying for advertising helps but building a strong following of people who share similar interests, aesthetic, and values will solidify their loyalty. Using the various platforms available, it is so easy to reach said audience with the right marketing, i.e.: photography, styling, and communication. Knowing who your audience is and what it is that they want, then providing that is exactly what brands do to stay successful. By marketing properly and providing what your audience wants, you will continue to grow.
