We recently connected with Prince Archie and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Prince thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I first wanted to pursue songwriting and becoming an artist was through the encouragement of family and friends. Making songs was a hobby for me and I love making up songs about anything, even if it was to make people laugh.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am Isiah Archie but also known as PA The Writer born and raised in Houston,Tx. I got in the industry by strictly researching every lane I wanted to get in from being an recording artist, getting my music on tv shows, and doing jingles for top companies. From there I build genuinely relationships and networked with people in the profession which lead to some of my opportunities. I have had my songs placed in “All American” , “Real Housewives Of Atlanta” , Real Housewives Of Potomac” , and “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta just name a few. I also wrote jingles for Sprite, and also hit great streaming numbers independently.
I now started my own sync licensing company (Wild Original’s World Club) to help underground artist who were just like me to get their music heard on tv and able to get paid for it.
I know how it feels to not know anything about the industry ,because I was right there in that position. That’s why I’m offering help on songwriting, TV placements , and artist development. I love music so much that I want it to keep revolving .
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is being able to lose yourself in the music, self expression, venting, and bringing yourself to peace.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes my goal is to be the best composer/artist in the sync licensing world and my mission is to show my 5 year old son to “NEVER GIVE UP” even when they count you out.
