We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Primavera Barron a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Primavera, thanks for joining us today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
There was this defining moment during my Neuro-Linguistic Programming class that completely transformed my life. I was in the middle of the session when it hit me: I could no longer pretend to be happy with where I was. At the time, I was a full-time massage therapist working exhausting 10-hour days, feeling completely burned out and miserable. Despite this, I kept convincing myself that I couldn’t quit because “they needed me.” But let’s be real – the wheels of life keep turning whether you’re there or not.
Right after that training, I made a bold decision. I decided to put in my notice and take the plunge into becoming a coach. Now, keep in mind I had been a massage therapist for 15 years with zero business experience. Talk about a leap of faith! But I trusted that I could figure things out as I ventured into this new entrepreneurial journey. That belief, along with hiring some fantastic coaches, took me further than I could have ever imagined. And here I am, loving the success and fulfillment that comes with pursuing my dream career.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I ventured into my career journey after noticing a recurring theme with clients on my massage table. They would pour out their problems, and I’d feel terrible because, while I wanted to help them make real changes, I didn’t have the tools.
Adding to this was my personal struggle; I was piecing my life together after an 11-year marriage ended. I was desperately searching for the right resources to get unstuck and find happiness but kept hitting dead ends despite spending thousands. It was incredibly frustrating!
This combination of wanting to genuinely help other women and my own struggles led me to become the resource I could never find. Now, I run a full-time coaching business, helping female business owners break free from the cycle of stress and overwhelm to create their ideal lives and embrace their new identities. I blend Neuro-Linguistic Programming with the healing work of Shamanism to offer a holistic transformation.
I’ve created a 90-day program that I’m incredibly proud of, and I absolutely love guiding women through every step of the process. It’s designed to deliver the quickest, deepest transformation possible, while making the process enjoyable. I’m on a bit of a mission to prove that deep healing work doesn’t have to be long, painful, and scary. It can actually be a fun and empowering experience. I firmly believe women deserve this effective and fun way to heal and elevate their lives.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
There was a time after my divorce when life felt like one giant uphill battle. I was moving back to California after being away for 11 years, essentially starting my life all over again. When I left home, I was a 19-year-old kid, but I was returning as a 30-year-old woman with $2,000 to my name, two boxer dogs, and a $600 car payment. To say I was stressed is an understatement!
Every day felt like climbing out of a deep hole, making some progress only to slide back down. It was grueling. I remember many nights thinking, “I wouldn’t care if I didn’t wake up in the morning.” But then the thought of my family being heartbroken without me gave me the push to keep going.
So, first thing every morning, I’d play an audiobook to steer my mind onto the right direction and keep moving forward. I was determined—okay, maybe a bit stubborn, too! But that determination pushed me to build the life I truly wanted. And it’s that same drive that’s gotten me to where I am today.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
If I could turn back time, I would absolutely choose the same profession all over again. I feel so blessed to be able to guide women on their healing journeys. Gosh, if they could see themselves through my eyes, they would be even more proud of the incredible work they’ve done with me.
Being a guide for other women is truly the most rewarding experience. There are moments when I feel so blessed and proud that I can’t help but shed a few tears; it’s such an emotional and fulfilling experience for me. Helping women transform their lives is like watching a beautiful flower bloom – it’s a joy I wouldn’t trade for anything.
