In just 18 months, our social media efforts have led to significant milestones: over 2 million views on our YouTube channel, more than 790,000 impressions on Instagram, and impressive engagement with our new Burn or Chill segment, which has garnered over 500,000 impressions in just 3 months.
Our social media strategy focuses on authentic storytelling and meaningful interactions, which has helped us connect deeply with our followers. By sharing Priest’s inspiring journey and the core message of the Burn Moment movement, we’ve created a vibrant community dedicated to overcoming adversity and finding strength through personal challenges.
This growth has not only expanded our reach but also amplified our impact, enabling us to spread our message of resilience and determination to an ever-growing audience. Social media has been instrumental in fueling the Burn Factory’s success, allowing us to inspire and engage with people from all walks of life.
Priest Rivera , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Priest (18) suffered severe burns from a school science experiment when he was just 13. Rushed to the ICU with only a 50% chance of survival due to extensive burns on his face and neck, Priest faced a traumatic ordeal that shifted his focus to his passion—golf. While hooked up to IVs and monitors, he practiced putting golf balls into a glass jar, discovering his “Burn Moment” during this difficult time. A Burn Moment represents a period of intense struggle where one must fight to overcome adversity. This experience inspired us to create the Burn Factory to show how such moments shape who we are.
Priest James Rivera went on to establish the Priest James Foundation, which installs putting greens at local hospitals to inspire patients to get outside and enjoy fresh air. Rather than succumbing to self-pity and defeat, Priest channeled his energy into forgiveness and healing, driven by his newfound passion for golf. He believes that this “healer” can be a catalyst for strength and determination in the lives of others who have experienced traumatic injuries.
While the podcast was the foundation of the Burn Factory, Priest and his brother Phenix (21), who is the co-host, decided to take things to the next level. They moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, to immerse themselves in a city rich with opportunity and exposure. Each day, Priest and Phenix work to spread the Burn Moment movement through social media and interviews with athletes. They see every day as an opportunity to do something great and hope that their story will inspire others.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

How’d you meet your business partner?
Priest and Phenix Rivera founded the Burn Factory with a shared vision to transform personal adversity into a source of inspiration for others. Their journey began with Priest’s life-changing experience at the age of 13 when he suffered severe burns from a school science experiment. Despite facing significant physical and emotional challenges, Priest channeled his focus into his passion for golf, discovering what he calls his “Burn Moment”—a period of intense struggle that ultimately shapes one’s resilience and character.
Motivated by this transformative experience, Priest was driven to use his story to help others. Alongside his brother Phenix, who joined as a co-host and partner, they launched the Burn Factory as a platform to share their message of overcoming adversity. The foundation of their brand was built on the idea of highlighting personal struggles and triumphs, and encouraging others to embrace their own Burn Moments.
They began by leveraging their personal experiences and insights through a podcast, which quickly gained traction. Recognizing the potential to reach even more people, they expanded their efforts through social media and other digital platforms. Their move to Las Vegas, Nevada, was a strategic decision to immerse themselves in a vibrant city that offered new opportunities and exposure.
Together, Priest and Phenix have cultivated a dynamic and engaging platform that resonates with a diverse audience. Their commitment to sharing powerful stories and fostering a sense of community has fueled the Burn Factory’s growth and solidified its role as a beacon of inspiration for those facing their own challenges.
