We were lucky to catch up with Preston Lewin recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Preston thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s something crazy on unexpected that’s happened to you or your business
Entrepreneurship can really throw some wild curveballs, and one of the craziest things we’ve faced was something I never imagined when I first started my business. We go above and beyond to work with our clients—unlike a lot of companies, we’re flexible with payments, we move things around, hold off on collections, whatever it takes. As long as clients communicate with us, we’ll do anything for them because we genuinely care about the people behind the purchases. But, sometimes, despite all that, there are still people who take advantage.
Last year, we had a situation where a client intentionally stole not one, but two PCs from us. They’d stopped paying, completely ghosted us, and after numerous attempts to work things out, we had no choice but to send out our repossession contractor. We had been tracking this client for a while, but just last month, things escalated in a way we never expected. Our contractor finally caught up with them, and instead of a straightforward retrieval, the client shot at him, stole his car, and left him stranded. He literally had to walk home after this woman took off with his vehicle.
Thankfully, our contractor was okay, we took care of him, and he reported the car stolen, but it was one of those moments where I had to just sit back and think, ‘Does every business owner deal with this type of stuff?’ It’s one of those insane situations you never expect to face when you’re trying to run a company.
And that’s just one story. We’ve dealt with everything from FBI seizures to customers flipping PCs for drug money, mental hospitals, and much more. These are the kinds of things people don’t realize you might encounter when you’re a business owner. You think it’s all about building great products and keeping customers happy—and it is—but there’s a whole other side that’s unpredictable and sometimes downright dangerous.
That incident last month was a reminder that entrepreneurship isn’t just about handling the good moments; it’s about staying resilient and focused through the most unexpected and crazy situations. At the end of the day, no matter what gets thrown our way, we adapt, we learn, and we keep moving forward.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
At Presteeto PC we’re dedicated to making PC gaming accessible to everyone, regardless of financial history. We specialize in offering high-performance, premium Gaming PCs on affordable payment plans with absolutely no credit requirements and no interest.
From my formative years as a high school freshman, I discovered my passion for technology by dismantling and upgrading my first computer. This initial spark ignited a profound interest in PC building, gaming, digital arts, and the expansive realm of technology. Throughout high school, I built and sold over one hundred computers as a hobby, whilst entertaining many other creative ventures. After graduating high school, a friend of mine in the music industry was in the market for a high-performance PC, but couldn’t afford it up front. This experience, along with the marked lack of empathy in the lending industry, led to the birth of Presteeto PC.
Driven by this enthusiasm, my team and I are dedicated to providing an accessible avenue to your dream PC through convenient payment plans. We accommodate all needs and financial circumstances, ensuring that everyone can embark on their PC gaming journey today.
However, our commitment extends beyond accessibility– we are dedicated to cultivating enduring relationships with each individual who puts their trust in our work, through flexibility, understanding, and empathy.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I maintain a personal, hands-on approach with every client by giving them my personal phone number and making myself available 24/7. Whether it’s driving out to fix a PC in the middle of the night or spending hours on the phone resolving issues—even helping with personal matters—I’m always there when they need me. This level of commitment and frictionless communication is what sets us apart. It’s no surprise that 75% of our leads come from word-of-mouth referrals, as clients know they can trust us to go the extra mile, both in business and beyond.

Have you ever had to pivot?
Two major pivots happened for me at the same time. In high school, I was flipping PCs as a side hustle, and when a friend in the music industry wanted a high-end gaming PC but couldn’t pay upfront, we worked out a plan where he paid over three months. That’s when I made the shift from cash sales to offering in-house financing, which became the foundation for officially starting my business. Around the same time, I had just begun college at UTD, but by the second day, I realized it wasn’t the right path for me. Even though it went against the advice of almost everyone around me, I made the difficult decision to drop out and pursue my business full-time, knowing the opportunity cost of staying in school was too high. Looking back, the hands-on experience I’ve gained running my business has been invaluable, and it’s allowed me to achieve a level of financial success that I likely wouldn’t have reached had I stayed in college.
