We were lucky to catch up with Precious Jones-Ward recently and have shared our conversation below.
Precious, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
I think I’ve done many things over the years to show my customers appreciation, to start with every order there is a sticker thanking them for their purchases and sometimes a handwritten note. We’ve given out tons of free samples, products, and merchandise to show my gratitude especially to repeat customers. We offer free local delivery and sometimes offer free delivery to select customers who purchase with us. I do offer help to customers that need explanations on products, ingredients or how to use/best way to use our essentials as well as overall education on products, ingredients and how to care for their hair, skin etc… I’m always available to answer any questions. We have vendored several events for which customers asked to us to be a part of as well as made donations and sponsored events.
We believe in great customer service so it’s not hard for us to go above and beyond for our customers. if it wasn’t for them we would not exist.

While reading and researching I found that more people (as well as family members) are suffering from all types of ailments and health issues from all the products that we put in and, on our bodies, which are filled with harmful chemicals and toxins. We have our own website where we sell our essentials on, www.eliteorganicessentials.com, but we are also on other platforms ie, Amazon and Walmart. We are ecstatic about being apart of amazing these platforms.
The pros of being on these platforms allow for having your brand/product open to a wider audience. and the opportunity for more customers. When you’re a small business your business is localized so only potential customers in your area will know you but because these platforms are global, and everyone knows about them it opens you up as a small business to market across the world.
The same reason for being on these platforms will also be negative as well. Because these platforms are so huge and so many businesses are on there, big, and small, it’s hard to market and be seen by potential customers.
It takes time and money to build your business (on a regular basis) but also on these platforms, yet it is still a great opportunity to be a part of, to learn and grow from.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Dedication, transparency and consistency really helped us to build our business. From the very beginning of creating our brand extensive research and development has been involved. Knowing about the ingredients we use and the amazing benefits they offer to achieve the best results once used.
We have always been open and honest about our essentials and the ingredients we use so a customer doesn’t have to guess or not be aware of what we use and how they work. We want the customer to know what’s in our essentials, why they are used, and the benefits they can expect from using our products. We have been working hard for the past six years building our brand by marketing and promoting via our website, other platforms, vendoring, sponsorships, collaborations etc… We show up to as many events as we can to offer our expertise and educate as many people as possible as we can about the benefits of healthy living.
