Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Praise Posh. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Praise, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
During the beginning stages of attempting to become a creative, at first I had no idea what niche I wanted to indulge in. I liked to take images, I liked images taken of me, I enjoyed editing, and I also enjoyed styling/fashion a lot. I wasnt sure if I would be able to express creative across all of those mediums, but over time as i tried one after the other, I came to the conclusion that the best way to get the best of all worlds would be to have ownership over something someday. Thats how my brand was born!
Knowing everything I now know about myself, the people around me, the industry we’re striving to succeed in, and the world we live in, I wouldnt speed up anything about my process. The best things take time a marinate before experiencing the finished product. The most important skill I gained along the way was learning to be very adaptive to all situations and environments

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a 26 year old NYC native with a african background (Sierra Leone). I’ve been based in NY my entire life, apart from living in Pennsylvania for 5 years due to undergrad, where I studied mechanical engineering. I began my creative journey post-grad and i haven’t looked back since. initially i began with modeling, went into designing, and that led into me being able to direct and photograph shoots and projects all on my own. I have distinctive visions for how i like projects to come out and it feels way more fulfilling when you’re able to make a plan and carry it out yourself.
My brand is under 2 years old, but I’m proud to say that I’ve gotten multiple projects published in pretty notable magazines. Being the owner of a start up brand is tough but I’m learning more and more daily to enjoy the process, because I know someday, I’ll miss it
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, seeing a smile on peoples faces and uplifting their spirits is the best part and most rewarding aspect for me. Fashion doesnt just look good, but it makes people feel good. Getting unique pieces, thinking of what they could put it together with in their closet, or even thinking of how much their loved ones would like the pieces, makes people feel GREAT. As a designer, i strive to put that excitement on everybody’s face

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Treat your social media like a garden. Right now, you might only have a few flowers, but as you continue to water them, AND plant new seeds, the garden will keep looking fuller and fuller by the month. The key is not to stop until the garden looks like Eden!
