We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Power. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Power below.
Alright, Power thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Your ability to build a team is often a key determinant of your success as a business owner and so we’d love to get a conversation going with successful entrepreneurs like yourself around what your recruiting process was like -especially early on. How did you build your team?
For me, team building comes with a lot of ups and downs, influencing both employee morale and overall productivity. Of course trial and error is expected, but the upside will always help create the lessons needed to build a great structure for a successful company. We have an amazing tech team located in Dubai, and I have an amazing team in New York City, where we’re based.
When it was time for me to bring a team, I wanted this group to greatly represent the importance of delivering such a profound development to the world. I choose these professionals / artists because they are the new world of creatives. My team has a broader perspective on how music technology would impact career driven artists worldwide. I started this level of development, looking for specific skills that will highlight the individuals strengths and weaknesses, providing opportunities for personal and professional growth. I’m happy to say I found some great ones, and I also came across some inauthentic connections, but again the journey is all about prospective.
I have an amazing team, we’re constantly improving our trust which is essential for a positive work environment. We’re big on enhanced collaborations, underlining a strong team with great communication, this can assist with problem-solving as well.
These small but prominent lessons made me very conscious on protecting my brands, as well my partnerships involved. I want our members who put in the work, towards their own goals through my company to feel safe, motivated, and grounded with the brand.
Balancing the ups and downs is critical for creating a cohesive and effective team environment.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Any advice for managing a team?
Managing a team and maintaining high morales critical for productivity and overall success. Practicing open communication regular check-in and open door policies can help. I think it’s important to recognize achievements with your company by acknowledging individuals and team accomplishments both big and small. This can be a thorough formal recognition or simple, verbal praise. I think it’s also important to recognize those who bring in great ideas which can add tremendous success to any the brand. Providing growth opportunities also offers personal development through workshops, training and mentorship.
Encouraging team bonding is an amazing component, by organizing building activities in person or even virtual. To show support is a big one, especially as Founder / CEO. It’s important to show empathy and support during challenging times. Understanding personal circumstances can foster loyalty and enhance morale. Leading by example is a great one as well. It helps to demonstrate positive attitude, work ethic, and commitment to team goals. Leadership behavior sets the tone for the team culture.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
I’m proud to say, I owe a lot of my business philosophy to Mr. Grant, Cardone. He’s an amazing real estate investor disruptor, Mogul and founder of Cardone Capital. Mr. Cardone is also a New York Times best seller. I am now reading the 10X Rule. He’s also known for hosting the 10X wealth conference in Miami Florida.
I recommend the conference to anyone looking to learning more about business structure, and how to manage and grow your wealth. There’s always an amazing special guest.
I would like to thank my partners at Bentley Records, and FUGA. My friend and Mentor Mr. Luca Days & our Dubai team, as well as our New York Records team. A&R/Manager Mr. Saadiq Wales, A&R Kayshaw Saravia, and Social Media Manager Ebony Lital for their dedication and hard work towards the future of music with New York Records.
