Poundgame, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Would you say you are more focused on growing revenue or cutting costs? We’d love to hear how you think about these two critical drivers
Growing revenue Is most important to me. . I don’t focus on cutting cost because I always want more. Cutting cost keeps your brand on budget. Growing revenue creates more opportunities to build your brand bigger.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Poundgame Addison is a Hiphop artist, songwriter, and co-founder of Poundgame Music Megastar Management LLC. He was raised in multiple areas in Missouri eventually going to school in Columbia, Missouri. During this time period, he found his love for music. Poundgame Addison is now expanding his sound and craft through the different cultures provided by his traveling lifestyle. While staying true to his hip hop background. His song “Smoked Love”, released in September of 2020, increased his fanbase allowing him to continue to grow his own record label and create partnerships with businesses such as Hotbox cookies, Medical Missouri, Honda Dealers, etc. Poundgame Addison recently released his second label album “Smoked Love 2” and going on tour to tell his story. What sets Addison apart from others is his work ethic, and postive energy no matter what the situation may be. Some of my biggest accomplishments are creating a ongoing annual festival called “Poundgame Powerfest”, Being tour support for national artist such as Snoop Dogg, MGK, Waka Flocka, and more. As Poundgame Addison continues to grow in the industry we are looking forward to it becoming a worldwide brand within a few years.
How’d you meet your business partner?
Meet Malik Hazzard. Malik is the Co founder/ CEO of Poundgame Music Megastar Management LLC. I met Malik through a mutual friend a couple years ago in Detroit, MI. He had a management service going called Megastar and I had a Music label called Poundgame Music. We clicked from the jump explaining to each other how we had the same vision with both our dreams and decided to join forces.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I think my reputation was established how I came off as a person. Very humble and excited to live in the moment. Almost everyone around me gets a sense of joy from our interactions. I had a rough life growing up so now I look at life as a blessings to still be alive and I express that energy.
