We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Porscha Russell. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Porscha below.
Porscha , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Being successful is something everyone wants to be. Becoming successful isn’t given a book because it is different for me or anyone else as an individual. Being successful isn’t having the latest kicks or designer things. It’s being dedicated, determine, patient and focus on what the end goal for you is.
Porscha , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is porscha. I was born in Washington DC but resides in Baltimore county. I am a full time flight attendant and entrepreneur. I’ve always been creative as a kid. I started doing my hair when I was as young as 13 years of age. When I moved into high school I started braiding my own hair and my friends hair. In high school cosmetology was my trade. Due to me switching schools i had to go to beauty school right after high school. I went to school and worked full time at Walmart to start my career. After graduating I jumped right into my career head first. I can achieve all services however my nitch is braiding. In the year of 2021 I wanted more and went back to school to become an esthetician. I was determined along with one of my class mate to graduate on our on time dates. From then until now I’m super proud of my grow and where I’ve came from even through bumps that life have threw at me. Being an entrepreneur isn’t for the weak however if you want something bad enough nothing will stop you from doing and being the best in your craft. As cliché as it sounds you can do really whatever you fully put your mind to.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I’m very organized so I have scheduled times when I do things. My clients are always able to communicate with me. Texting me is the best way to get things out of me due to me being on go all the time. I manage being a flight attendant, an entrepreneur, a wife, friend, etc.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Being a flight attendant, when I went back to school and forever being the outgoing person I am. I talk to people and i promote a lot via social media platforms.
