Porscha, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

Before I gave my life to Christ, I valued my physical looks. I cared way too much about how people saw me and it became my thought process 80% of the time. After giving my life to Christ I went through a transition period of trying to find my identity in how Jesus saw me. It was hard because I didn’t know anything outside of my outward appearance. He revealed to me that a woman can be pretty but her pretty has purpose. Since then the words “Pretty Purpose” held onto my heart. For years I didn’t know what it meant until I experienced severe health complications after the birth of my youngest son. After recovering, I sat down and really prayed to God, asking, “Why am I here? What is my Purpose”. It was then placed on my heart to open a Women’s Clothing Boutique called Pretty Purpose Boutique. I gained 40 lbs after giving birth, and I felt that the last thing I needed to do was open a boutique. Trusting God, I decided to go for it, and from there, the planning began. I started to really dive into my “why?” for opening Pretty Purpose Boutique. What was the real reason for creating such a brand? This was bigger than me and how I felt about my body. The reason I created Pretty Purpose Boutique is to Spread God’s word through fashion while empowering women to be who God created them to be. After engraving that reason on my heart, I set a launch date and said no matter how I look, and no matter how imperfect I think things are, I will open!

Here at Pretty Purpose Boutique, we bless our customers with Fashion and Faith. Our fashionable apparel and accessories are modest with a progressive touch. Showing women that you can be fashionable and cutely covered. We also bless our customers with Monthly Bible plans, encouraging affirmations, and monthly giveaways to help women grow more in their relationship with Christ. Being a Faith based boutique is what I feel sets us apart from others. Which alone makes me so proud brand-wise.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?

My cofounder/business partner is Jesus. Partnering with Jesus is such a beautiful and humbling experience. Im so glad that I made the decision to open a Kingdom driven business because I simply would not be able to imagine doing business without Him. I have really enjoyed the person I’ve become in this journey.

How did you build your audience on social media?

I’m currently still building my audience on social media. Taking it day by day. The best advise I can give to someone else is to be consistent with posting your content and trust the process.
