Hi Porchel, thanks for joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.

Leaving the stability of my 9-5 job was a pivotal risk in my entrepreneurial journey. Fueled by a compelling vision, I envisioned a venture that aligned more closely with my passions and aspirations. The decision stemmed from a desire for freedom and the pursuit of a greater purpose. It involved meticulous planning, weighing potential challenges, and crafting a strategy to transform my vision into a reality. Despite the uncertainties, the leap of faith led to a greater sense of fulfillment and marked the beginning of a journey where each obstacle became a stepping stone toward success.

Porchel, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My spiritual awakening started in 2016. It was during that time I was able to learn more about my gifts and talents. It wasn’t until I launched my business in 2022, that I realized my full potential living in my truth. I started out as an herbalist, providing herbal tinctures, teas, and oils. I later invested into myself by going to loctitian classes and attending webinars. I studied other successful businesses and what mistakes they made so I knew what to avoid. Although I experienced the highs and lows just like everyone else, I discovered just how valuable I was to my clients. I’ve been told that my aura is very strong and powerful. And because of that, my clients never leave my chair the same. And although I’ve decided to step away from the styling chair and focus more on my other projects, I’m forever grateful for the connections I’ve made. My tribe knows me as a Healer and not just a “stylist”, and that means more to me than anything.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

Word of mouth. Word is bond and goes a very long way. Most of my clientele has been built around reputation and hard work. I’ve always loved referrals!

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

I have these three words: NEVER GIVE UP.

In the entrepreneurial realm, one profound lesson stands out—the importance of never giving up. There were moments when setbacks seemed insurmountable, and the path forward appeared daunting. However, each setback became a lesson, each failure a stepping stone. Persistence through challenges, adapting strategies, and learning from mistakes ultimately forged a resilient mindset. It’s in those moments of perseverance that the seeds of success are sown. The journey of entrepreneurship is a testament to the power of resilience, demonstrating that success often lies just beyond the point where others might have chosen to give up.
