Popsii , appreciate you joining us today. Do you think your parents have had a meaningful impact on you and your journey?

Well my parents have done tons of great things but one thing that stands out is my parents taught me to be a leader. That trait i will say stands out in whatever I do and it aids in my unique way of playing music and helps with me keeping a leveled head to know what I need for my journey. That also allowed me to understand that you need to be a great listener to be a great leader so I take the opportunities given to learn from veteran Djs before myself and adopt ways to Improve myself.

Popsii , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

If you’ve never heard of Dj Popsii Ranx before, let me say, I am a open format Dj hailing from a small town in Kingston Jamaica called alley lane. I was introduced to the music industry to be a Dj around 16-17 by my friends but my dad showed my how to develop and own my craft around 22-23. I did not take my music career as a Dj serious until February 26,2021 when I tattooed my Dj name across my right forearm. Now to the more in-depth information. My father is a reggae/dancehall superstar & Grammy winning producer ( Delly Ranx) so music was in my blood and I’m also the Official Dj for Reggae/Dancehall Grammy nominated artiste and Producer Demarco. What sets me apart from my dj companions are my high energy sets and my way of reading the rooms that I enter to dj every time. I DJ in nightclubs, business functions, birthday parties, baby showers or any event which needs a Dj and I Dj all genres of music. Is there mission driving your creative journey?

My goal is to be amongst the greatest of Djs from out of Jamaica and that’s what keeps me going every time because I know I will make it happen. I make sure to do my homework and learn from each step I take along this journey of the thing they call life. Beyond all of that is my fathers success as a musician drives me to be equally amazing or even better in my craft as I think it is only right.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

One of the most rewarding aspect is getting paid to do exactly what you love. Expressing and sharing your creativity to a whole room, stadium or concert arena and seeing the smiles on people faces, most times the people in the crowds are there to release stress built up from a work week or just life itself and to let them forget the strains of life for that few hours it’s a great joy. Nothing more rewarding than after your set a patron comes to you and thank you for making their day/night or saving them from doing something crazy.
