We recently connected with Pooja Bareis and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Pooja thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
My parents were very giving, and taught me at a young age to put my life in perspective to the greater picture, and to help others whenever I can. My mother frequently had difficult conversations with me about how a lot of people in the world are struggling, and modeled that it is our job to have compassion and help them as much as possible. I watched my dad volunteer growing up, and it led me to volunteer for various organizations myself when I was in High School and adulthood. It even led me to take a position overseas in as an International Volunteer Coordinator, working for a small after school nonprofit in the mountain region of Peru.
With such an emphasis on altruism in my upbringing, I grew up to pursue a career in fields that allow me to be a helper in society. I initially got a degree in Education, and taught for years. I then became certified as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, and have provided Speech Therapy services for patients with various developmental disabilities. It also led me to get my yoga teacher certification in 2017, and start my business Divine Light Wellness this past year.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I provide custom Amp Coil Sessions. The Amp Coil is a healing device that uses electricity and magnetics to bring your body systems and cells into a natural healing state. It is programmed with specific frequencies to target whatever ailments you are suffering from. It puts a toroidal field around your body as you take a pre-programmed electromagnetic journey. It also has Voice Analysis technology to analyze the frequencies in your voice to recommend specific journeys for your unique body.
I initially started using the Amp Coil myself, after suffering from a severe multi-microbial infection that lasted months. I did detoxes and cleanses on the Amp Coil multiple times/week, and it dramatically sped up my healing process. Now I continue to use the coil to keep my energy aligned. It has helped me with balancing my hormones, feeling grounded, healing anxiety, and healing insomnia.
During this time, I witnessed so many people around me fear getting covid, and suffer stress and trauma from lockdowns, pressure to do certain medical procedures, loss of jobs, etc. I saw how all of this was only making it harder for them to be healthy physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I have always been extremely intuitive, and I knew that more health obstacles would be coming down the chute for humanity, and I wanted to be proactive in helping others around me optimize their bodily functioning.
I also knew intuitively for years my students and patients needed more than education and speech therapy. A lot of them suffer from physical health issues that contribute to their educational, social-emotional, and speech and language delays. I regularly asked myself if one day I could help them to detox and heal their bodies, and then finally came to the conclusion that now is the time!
That is why I chose to create Divine Light Wellness. Currently, the only service I offer is Amp Coil sessions. I use my intuition and knowledge of energy to guide my clients to the journeys that are best for them. I also hold a safe container for them on their healing journey, as emotional trauma may come up to be seen and worked through.
I soon hope to expand Divine Light Wellness to include other health and wellness services to complement Amp Coil sessions, depending on what the community needs.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I bounced in and out of the field of Education for many years before I finally decided to leave it for good. As soon as I started teaching, I quickly realized that teaching in public schools wasn’t for me. I got burned out extremely quickly. I learned that in the Human Design System, I am a Projector, and Projectors aren’t supposed to work more than 20 hours a week! I was working about 50 hours a week as a teacher, and at one point had more than 400 students that I saw weekly at 3 different schools. It was way too draining for way too little pay, and I felt my health and happiness slowly declining as a consequence.
I unfortunately struggled with leaving the field right away, because finances were very tight for me. I eventually chose to go out on a limb, and started professionally cuddling (weird, I know!) and was able to have enough money from that to sustain me so that I could to go back to school for a year to receive my Speech and Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification. I began working as an SLPA in 2019 and still am working in this field part time.
I had to be strategic with starting Divine Light Wellness this year. I still have income from my SLPA job, which acts as a financial safety-net.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
I grow my clientele primarily by word-of-mouth. In the Human Design System, I’m a Projector, and Projectors attract clients more passively than other aura types in the system.
I am not skilled at marketing, and have found that when I’ve attempted to market myself, I haven’t had much success. However, when I just meet people in passing and they ask about what I do, and I organically tell them about my business, I end up getting clients! And then these clients refer others to me. My energy and the energy of my work speaks for itself.
