Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to PLAE. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
PLAE, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
I would say my two albums: PG2 and In Her Essence. Both albums have captured where I’m at as a creative and have been the soundtrack to all the events in my life since August 2024.
It’s not necessarily biography music, but there are moments where I witness my own peaks of creative excellence. Sometimes I listen to my music and I’m astonished.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I used to define myself as an artist but I’m really more than that. I’ve produced and edited music videos. I’m a “100 percenter” when it comes to music. I’ve modeled and walked the runway before. I’ve worked on collections with local brands around me. I’ve consulted, done strategic marketing—-the list goes on.
The main thing I do for people is ideate, create, or liberate. That’s really as simple as it gets.
The one thing I’m proud of how hard I’ve pushed to express myself despite the amount of pushback I received at times. I don’t feel like life has to be that way all time—-I think it’s just a matter of you developing the skill to follow your own voice and not take your mistakes so seriously.
And see the external “advice” more like input. It’s not law, just their state of mind.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Yeah, TikTok. All I did was post pictures of myself with a caption, added music and posted with some hashtags.
My audience grew 5x as much.
So my input is this: Just copy someone’s content strategy, personalize it, and then post it on your page.
Your audience won’t be those around you or that know you. It’ll be the millions of people who didn’t even know you existed.
Embrace those “strangers”. They’re really the life force of the support and recognition that you’re looking for at home.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I honestly don’t know anymore. Of course it’s by default that I want to be the best. Yes, I want to be better than my friends, even the ones I call my brothers. I want to beat you.
That’s just my competitive drive though. It’s not what inspires me anymore. I look at what I do creatively as a form of leaving my legacy or my ego here on this Earth.
One day, I’m going to die. It’s inevitable. So instead of me being scared of that inevitability, I see it as an opportunity to channel the inner force within me, and bring into the material world as many times as I can. Sometimes it’s an audio file that can be played on Spotify. Other times, it’s something you can wear, see, read or experience.
